The 11 is the best choice if you can overlook 5hr LCD display.

Overall the phone is a bit more competitive than the Xr was and will be a blockbuster success for apple.

It's the only way of enticing content consumers to upgrade phones.

4-5 years ago was the last time unlimited plans were widely available and affordable.

I ordered through o2 (Pre orders actually opened at around 12:45 and had no issue whatsoever, had my confirmation by 12.47. Things could've gone downhill after 1pm though I suppose

I did the same and was the first iPhone 11 customer. Went for the 64GB Pro Maxthey said that store deliveries usually arrive on Thursday ready to be collect on the Fridays.

Given that I was the first I am not worried about not having a phone to collect on Friday.

When did you order? What time? I’ve had no DPD alert and I ordered before pre orders opened at about 10am :(
 
Sorry for being dumb but how is the new iPhone taller but still the same screen size? (Noticed when comparing my XS with the new phone case)

Was just about to come on here with the same question about ‘can’t view your order’ so at least it must be an apple thing and not just us!

Actually got to pre order the watch yesterday, the phone I got on to the live chat and they were able to pre order for me at 9am this morning. Maybe this DPD is just the watch . I've had zero email just text at this stage.

OK, Three are indeed a nightmare, and the other networks aren’t much better.

I upgraded to an iPhone 11 Pro 256GB Gold over livechat and was told at the eleventh hour delivery would be 1st October. My advisor even informed me that I was the first customer to upgrade today, so it seems ludicrous that their first upgrade wouldn’t get launch day delivery. They wouldn’t relent on this, though, despite my putting that to them. They said they had a 256GB Gold 11 Pro Max available 20th September but wouldn’t do me it at the same price, so I agreed to keep the original order.

I checked their site when normal orders finally went live, which wasn’t long ago. Lo and behold delivery of my chosen model is available 20th September.

I called them up and they insist there’s no stock for 20th September, but who knows what to believe. I have considered placing a separate order as a new customer to try my luck, as I wouldn’t put it past Three to prioritise new customers over existing upgrades, but I feel this is excessive and it’s most probable that their website is incorrect, rather than the jokers I’ve spoken with. They are outrageously terrible in all respects.

I have attempted backup options to get the phone sooner. I only wanted to remain with Three for legitimate fears of not passing a credit check with another network. I’ve placed a tentative order with EE but that doesn’t even give any delivery date at all. I know they don’t credit check immediately so it’s still processing, despite receiving an email saying the order was “successful” (they’ve done this to me before where it appeared the order had gone through only to receive an email an hour later saying I’d failed the credit check - do the credit check before saying the order is successful, surely). I tried Vodafone but their site kept failing. I got to the last hurdle with O2 only to find that they had my old address saved on my account with no means of changing it, so they would credit check me at that address which would immediately fail.

To be honest the behaviour of Three to upgrade me on pre order day whilst not guaranteeing delivery until 11 days after launch is grotesquely unfair. Also, that all major UK carriers did not release pricing in advance of pre orders is cynical in the extreme and utterly contemptible.

If anyone has updates on Three delivery dates or EE delivery dates after the order is processed, I would sincerely appreciate a message.

EE are still telling me 20th even though no email confirmation

They said it’s ordered by 3 different people and expect an email by tomorrow

You could always order via very.co.uk who are very good normally

This can be an issue with some cases if manufacturers only changed the camera gap...

There aren’t many things sold for under a tenner with a tolerance of +/- half a millimetre tbh.

I’ve bought a two-pack of ESR screen protectors on Amazon that were hastily renamed from XS Max, I’m sure they’ll be fine. The instore Belkin option I once had before was good, but not *that* good.

Late with the update here.....

Ordered 2 11 Pro Max 256 (SG/Gold) + a purple 11 128GB

Ordered as soon as store went live, and now preparing for dispatch!
