I've been using a shocksock for years just to protect my phone in my pocket and to rest on when at my desk. No scratches on any phone so far.

Shocksock, Compatible with iPhone XS Max Case, Neoprene Shock Resistant Pouch with Carabiner - Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DVTYWN5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DMMFDbA4SQNZ8

Always prefer to use the phone naked to keep the bulk down and to appreciate the build quality in hand. Just buy a new one every year when velcro starts to wear out.
Never heard of a shock sock before. Do you find they give enough protection?

On their trade in site there is no mention of grades or an option to choose anything other than working or non working, I’ve always got the maximum quoted amount.
He obviously regarded it as non-working then? Sure it asks about scratches etc (I’ve not looked though)

I feel like next year will be a 11S year so hope the notch doesn't go otherwise mine is outdated again lolll
I on the other hand hope that next year will be a redesign and worthy of a serious upgrade

Ah so delivery date is calculated from when the finance reaches apple not when order is placed. thats a shame. :(
I guess they want to make sure you're good for the money before they reserve you a handset.

Just had a look around though on other sites ( Very, Argos etc) and none of them seem to be selling the model I’m after. The iPhone 11 Pro Silver 256GB. So looks like I’m going to have to wait. Argh

Yes I get that but considering I got my loan approved with the emails etc by 1:15pm that’s really unfair my order was estimated at 20th at that point. Just because of Apples system errors now it’s slipped so much

May be worth contact apple again as you was told incorrect information to see if they can do anything.

Carphoneware house has that model in stock for the 20th and apple has the iphone 11 pro max in silver for the 20th still.

I don’t believe CPW at all. All the models are still showing as “from 20th”

I would be absolutely livid!!

Email Mr Cook and speak with the executive team. That’s out of order and entirely their mess up!!

I’d try and buy elsewhere if I could I think..
Do people still believe in queuing outside Apple stores anymore?

Anyone know how Vodafone’s refresher thing works? They’re saying you can change to a new phone after 12 months but can’t find much detail about it

Their contract offer seems reasonable but I don’t want to be locked in for 2 years

It’s madness they don’t reserve a handset for you when you originally apply. Everyone reserving for iUP has had a phone put aside despite Apple having no idea if we’re financially worthy

Always wonder when Apple actually starts producing and shipping the phones, as they will all come with ios13 yet the GM for that only came out last Tuesday.. logistically is it possible to start producing and get ios13 onto thousands and thousands of phones, ship and deliver them all in 10 days?
The phones are built ready to go months ago. I read about a patented technology that allows the iPhones to update over the air to the latest iteration of iOS while still in the box.

Ordered both phone and case from Amazon! Got this from Amazon today, my order for a Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro 256 GB will delivered on the 21st Sep (all fingers crossed for that!)

Anyone else here ordered their iPhone 11/11 Pro from Amazon?
Yes. Decided to go with the 5 month payment option. Fingers crossed for 20th delivery!!

If you take out a two year contract you should be able to flexi upgrade, which is what I’ve done.

Paid an early upgrade fee which was £50 less than the resale value of my XS Max, and they start you on a new contract from the day your new phone arrives. Basically you pay for the full cost of the phone through your contract and the flexi upgrade fee, but if you look after your phone you should be able to sell it for slightly more than the fee.

My Example:

40GB data with iPhone XS Max 64GB - £77 per month with £79 up front fee.

I’ve just paid a £545 flexi upgrade fee, so the total for the year is £1548. However, £610 trade in for my phone nets the total down to £938, or £78 per month.

If you do this every year you’ll never be out of pocket. You basically get a new phone every year for just the price of the contract.

Normally what happens but this time system errors... they say. I’ll try my best with Apple tomorrow. The lines are closed and chat is too

I thought the same about CPW last year but I ordered an XS in gold on the day before release and it actually came on the release day!

Obviously I dont know your situation so will apologise in advance if this isn’t an option, but could you get the phone from somewhere on release date like JL on a credit card and then balance transfer to a different card at 0% interest

In the mean time I’d 100% take this up with Apple, even if they gave your a free phone case or something, better than nothing

I got my delivery date have you? I’m furious

Oh dear..mine still says pending payment but apple cust care confirmed this morning that my loan has been approved and the system will update. Maybe it will tonight since i placed my order much later than you. Now i am scared that the delivery date will be much later.

Tbh I feel like lessons learnt, next year I will for sure reserve to purchase in store whether I finance or whatever at least I will have a hand set. I’m guessing that’s correct

It seems like they just put these orders through as new no matter what time was originally completed

......surely by having this on your phone and the whole caboodle in your pocket, when your phone then rings, by the time you’ve pulled the case out your pocket, and then opened the flap and pulled your phone out, you will have missed the call?!!!

For those asking about Amazon 5 monthly payments thing, you can check if your account is eligible here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/b?ie=UTF8&node=14805641031

"To be eligible for this offer, you must reside in the United Kingdom, your Amazon.co.uk account must have been active for at least one year, you must have a valid credit card associated with your Amazon.co.uk account, and you must have a good payment history on Amazon.co.uk."

The term credit card applies to debit cards as well.
Personally, I've used this in the past but missed a £6 payment due to having to replace my debit card so I think that is why my account was not eligible. I signed into a family member's account and theirs was eligible so placed the order there.

With CPW, when you reserve, they just mark a handset as ‘reserved’. Then, it’s first come first served .i.e. queue up (well that’s how it used to be anyway).
