Thanks for heads up as this is now in stock so i have cancelled my mophie one and ordered the nomad one. Looks better and can place it anywhere.
Both these look nice, would have ordered the mophie one except it looks like those charging LEDs are permanently on which isn’t ideal next to the bed

I went Sim only with O2 last week after upgrading iPhones with them yearly. My sim only is the first time they have offered me anything good. I think they just want to make as much money as possible of us iPhone users.
You may be right. This week I've settled my device with them (my 2 year old iPhone X) and now have a Sim only plan ready for the 11 Pro. I said I'm considering other networks and it's the only time they've offered me something better to keep me onboard.

What about a screen protector? And are you on the Apple upgrade programme?

Nope, neither. Don’t like screen protectors. Not on the upgrade programme, I just buy outright as it tends to be the cheapest option in the long term and avoids taking out unnecessary credit.

Do none of you use car mounts that require magnets? I love clear cases but can't use them with those. All other mounts I've tried have been rubbish.

No, I don’t use a case so can’t put a magnet on my phone.

I use this holder and I’m perfectly happy with it: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07F3MPJ8Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It’s quite well designed especially as you can’t still reach the bottom of the screen to swipe up and the lightning port isn’t obstructed.

I’m reading my confirmation email from EE and it says:

When we deliver your order to you, we’ll need to confirm your identity. Please have either your passport or driving licence photo card ready to show the courier.

This seems excessive, and I’d had no plans to be home for the delivery as someone else lives with me. I’d have arranged in store pick up otherwise.

Also, still no delivery date from them, although I am expecting launch day as I went on live chat as a new customer and they said if I ordered my chosen model delivery is expected 20th September, so clearly they will have adequate stock.

After I ordered from amazon yesterday for my case, they put the price down by 20%....

So after talking to live chat they cancelled it and I reordered at £44.

I don’t expect to always get the best price on amazon, but I was annoyed that a brand new item goes down by 20% 1 day after it started selling.

Well i won’t be at home to sign for my order as my wife will be in as i’m At home...so they better just accept my ID if i leave it at home.

For those asking about Amazon 5 monthly payments thing, you can check if your account is eligible here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/b?ie=UTF8&node=14805641031

"To be eligible for this offer, you must reside in the United Kingdom, your Amazon.co.uk account must have been active for at least one year, you must have a valid credit card associated with your Amazon.co.uk account, and you must have a good payment history on Amazon.co.uk."

The term credit card applies to debit cards as well.
Personally, I've used this in the past but missed a £6 payment due to having to replace my debit card so I think that is why my account was not eligible. I signed into a family member's account and theirs was eligible so placed the order there.

Hmm... it says monthly payments are enabled on my account, but none of the iPhones are showing this as an option. Maybe they don't trust me with something so expensive lol.

I mean. How likely is this to change? Before I go ordering from other places hahah

I think there's a very good chance of this. I remember with the X, lots of people missed out on release day delivery and had lead times of 2-3 weeks after, but their orders were brought forward to just 1 week after the initial batches had been sent out. I suspect quite a few people don't pick up their reservations, get refused in-store finance, buy several and therefore return them etc, so plenty will go back into the pool so to speak and you'll be moved up the list.

Just got a notification from Monzo saying Apple charged me £1199 for my 11 Pro 256GB pre-order!

My order is a pickup from Regent Street (London), and check-in window is 8-8:30am.

Me too (around 20:40), £1299 for 11 pro max 256G launch day pre-order. check-in window is 8:30 - 9:00am.

Yes very annoying and the courier actually does ask for ID. I had a phone order earlier this year, and EE requires them (DPD) to take down details of the passport at the door.

I just ordered pro max silver 64gb for delivery on 20th sept from apple. That is still showing 20th sept delivery. This time i have paid full upfront. Now if my financing option one is approved for a 20th sept delivery date i will cancel this one.

If yours like many others has changed to preparing for shipment, your card could soon be charged for your purchase

Where’d you get the 0% interest?
It’s an option with Curry’s via the website. 24 instalments of £58... however due to stock levels I did have to purchase the more expensive model than hoping for...

That’s good news! I still don’t get why you didn’t just reserve a handset for iPhone payments on release day
Me too. Me too. Now it’s too late and I’m regretting everything in life regarding iPhones ahhhhhh
