Yes, get a PAYG sim and test, test, and
test again.

I once relied on the EE coverage checker which suggested excellent coverage indoors where I live, and it turned out to be terrible. I was stuck with them for a year before I returned to my original provider. It was pure aggravation and I’m stilltraumatised. 😂

This is exactly what I'm trying to avoid 🤣

I believe they do. They should come with all the sizes needed these days.

Thanks. I'm hoping it'll say on the packet.

Anyone know if the EE sim turns out to be good, can I upgrade it in an EE store to a sim only deal? I've been thinking about getting a mobile for my business and would need a new number for that so if this works out ok, it could be a new business number.

hi all,
im going from an xs to the 12 pro. will i need to get a usb/usbc adapter for my pc to transfer everything across from the old phone to the new one via itunes? can i tranfer everything without itunes even music and photos? thanks
I don't think anybody uses iTunes anymore, just make sure your phone is backed up.

when you turn on your new phone bring your old phone near it (before you have wiped it or anything) and you'll see it pop up on your new phone asking if you want to replace the old phone with the new one and transfer everything over, its very straight forward :)

I believe you can back up to iCloud then set the new phone up from an iCloud backup and that'll transfer everything over. Removes the need to do it via a computer then.

You ever tried using EE live chat the staff instores only quote website prices people on live chat seem to have more leeway offering better value.

Tried to upgrade my old out of contract 10gb 10 pounds sim plan to the 100gb twice instore they quoted me £20 been reading the thread in the last two days noticed people started using live chat took my chance this morning was offered 14 pounds for 100gb package without haggling...

Is it the 23rd yet? :p

no problem you might find this video useful

Thanks for that - I didn't know about the phone to phone transfer method of setup.

I've always done a backup, and restore.
Or sometimes just set it up as new, with some vague worry about using previous backups that may be bloated or full of unnecessary stuff, and so preferring a 'clean' install. (I'm guessing that is an unfounded worry!)

Nice. I'm currently with O2 but if this EE PAYG sim works out and I move then I'll try the live chat. Is that 24 months for £14 a month? Any extras or 'Benefits' as EE call them?

24 months no extras or benefits happy with the plan 5G enabled too hardly using anything over 2gb these days *due to working indoors* great to have a overhead on data incase we get back to normal next year adventuring outdoors once again.

Shame I've already got a contract with them, I've just joined as well.

How are you finding EE? Are they good?

Excellent. I might try that then if I move. Only thing I'd really want is international roaming for once we can get back to some kind of normality.

My Spigen Thin Fit Black Cases arrived from Amazon today. I have preordered an iPhone 12 Pro Graphite 256Gb for delivery on the 23rd, I ordered the same cases to gauge the two different sizes as I have always had the normal size phone but though about going Max this year but I am still undecided as the 12 Pro is still a little bit bigger than the 11 Pro. Here are some images to give a comparison of an iPhone 6s, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro case and iPhone 12 Pro Max case. Hope it helps if you are still undecided like me.

I just got the SIM today so haven't had a chance to properly try them out
Are you SIM only? If so, how long did it take you to get your SIM?
I just signed up for a SIM only unlimited data plan with EE the other day. Coverage map shows I should get 5G so we’ll see how that goes…
