So I got the MagSafe charger today from the Apple store. I tried it with my 11 Pro Max quickly and it does connect wirelessly to charge however it does not attach to the phone with or without a case. I presume then the iPhone 12‘s have a magnet on the inside on the back for this.

yep 👍🏻 an the new cases have magnets built in also

My Spigen Thin Fit Black Cases arrived from Amazon today. I have preordered an iPhone 12 Pro Graphite 256Gb for delivery on the 23rd, I ordered the same cases to gauge the two different sizes as I have always had the normal size phone but though about going Max this year but I am still undecided as the 12 Pro is still a little bit bigger than the 11 Pro. Here are some images to give a comparison of an iPhone 6s, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro case and iPhone 12 Pro Max case. Hope it helps if you are still undecided like me.

i ordered the exact same case for mine! Turned up yesterday 😊

That's correct.

EE does not support Quick Start, so you'll need to call them up to request a new eSIM.

I had this issue. Ordered a new eSim QR code last night, it arrived today. Will wait until next Friday to scan it into the iP12.

Just checked the EE coverage and it says 4 out of 5 bars for 5G coverage at my house, so will be interesting to see what speeds I get. EE's 4G speeds are already insanely fast in my area.

Has anybody else’s MagSafe wallet delivery date slipped?

I ordered the Saddle Brown one yesterday with delivery between 2nd & 9th November, it glitched like a few others this morning and was showing I had ordered the black one. It’s now showing the correct colour but the delivery date is now between the 24th Nov & 1st December which is the same as if I ordered it right now.

Hoping it’s just another glitch and not another sign that the voice in my head telling me that £59 is a ridiculous price and I should cancel the order is probably right!

Can anyone tell me who’s going on the upgrade programme, do you have to go and pick up in store or with what’s going on this year can you have it delivered?

I think you still have to go in store, but don't quote me on this. This is based off what someone else said elsewhere. Of course my memory could be wrong.

Using iTunes is still the only option if you want to back up all passwords for all apps?
I think app passwords are also backed up with iCloud as I dont remember ever losing them when changing/restoring devices and ive used iCloud backups for about the last 3 phone swaps over the years and the only apps i have issues with are the same ones that forget their passwords normally

You have to make a reservation and pick up in store. What doesn’t make sense to us is that if you can do iPhone payments online I don’t know why iUP couldn’t have been for new sign ups.

First look at speeds on EE is at 118Mbps compared to 16 with 3 where I live.
I just did a speed test and got 150Mbps compared to 3 at 60Mbps. Very impressed! Can’t wait to see what 5G will be like.
Unfortunately my number hasn’t transferred over yet, happening Tuesday apparently so I’ll have to keep using my 3 SIM.

so I managed to find a good deal with Three. 100GB 5g, unlimited everything else for £41 pm. iPhone 12 64GB. Does this sound good?

41pm x 24 = £984 over two years. Take off the cost of the phone at £799 leaves you with £185 which is about £7.70 per month for the contract. Seems pretty damn good to me, especially at launch where they tend to try and take the p*ss with offers

Wow, those are some awesome speed differences.

I've just had a client visit work. Asked them what network they are on and they said EE. They said they'd got 2 bars of 4G inside so that's already better than O2.

I'll see if I can pick up an EE sim on the way home tonight and try it out.

The only downside is, it's Three... 😀
