I think it will come on 23rd if it said that in the confirmation I just wouldn’t be expecting any tracking or a dispatch notification from Argos.
The order says: We'll get your items on their way to arrive on from 23rd October 2020

Ugh the ‘On from’ makes me worried.

Who else’s has ordered from Argos?

Good video

The dream lives on for now. I reckon if they’re going to get cancelled we’ll find out tomorrow. Sadly I still think they will.

We are all expecting cancellations I think. Perhaps we should be a little more annoyed rather than acceptant if it does happen.

Yes, Amazon has a legal right to cancel. That is not in dispute. But they did advertise a product at a somewhat believable price. £849 is a big saving, but it’s not necessarily an obvious error to the average consumer the way £8.49 would be. I suspect a lot of people will be expected to place new orders if the originals are cancelled and finding that they’ll be waiting until mid-November for delivery.

While I am expecting the orders to be cancelled and won’t be disappointed if they are, I shall certainly be arguing with their Customer Service team if and when it happens. I think a £10 or £20 gift voucher is the most likely outcome. 😉

I genuinely think, Amazon had allocation. The speed they sold out in means they where sensible and put stock allocation in. Also they have an official apple store on there website https://www.amazon.co.uk/stores/AppleUK/Homepage/page/6DAC587E-4CF0-472E-BAEA-2EBAF3651291

So does Apple input pricing and products? So could this have been Apples mistake?

Could have been a very clever marketing trick by Amazon, we get release day products, and then moving forward we always remember Amazon every year....who knows...

I'm sure Amazon have people working day and night on there sites, Monday office doesn't count...who knows...I just want my card charged, then you know its coming 😆

“Upgraded” my EE contract yesterday.

Was on 60GB with one smart benefit for £27 a month. Initially upgraded to 100GB for £20 (no smart benefit) and then today, went for 200GB with a smart benefit for £25, but with 20% discount making it 20%.

All done online. Perhaps I could have gotten a little more through the Live Chat but I just feel fortunate I was able to do anything at all. I was under contract for the 60GB plan but, for some reason, the app allowed me to “upgrade” anyway, despite the new plan being cheaper.

I’m currently a dedicated Spotify user but have chosen Apple Music as my Smart Benefit. The others don’t appeal to me. I suppose the £10 a month saving offsets the cost of the contract so £10 a month for 200GB 5G isn’t bad at all.

Now to start the arduous process of moving all my playlists from Spotify to Apple Music. And to think - until last week you could automate it!

Do you know, can you change the smart benefit at any time or are you stuck with whichever one you choose at the beginning?

Blue 12 64gb is OOS on Argos as well as black.

No!

I also ordered the 128Gb iPhone 12 (blue). The only difference is that I’m coming from an iPhone XS, which I’m handing down to a family member.
I have always had a 64gb or 32gb. Can I ask what the extra storage is good for? I’m always confused if I should get a higher size

Wasn’t the Amazon issue selling the 128gb Pro model for £849?
For some reason I’m rather expecting those who ordered to get a standard 128gb 12 model delivered instead as that’s the rrp for that model.
I have seen that happen with other items from them before.

Hey, it was worth a shot. If they cancel, then I’ll fire off an email and see if I can get some freebies.

If they don’t, I’ve got a 256gb Pro for £849...

....yea, weirdly, I also changed my sim only plan just the other day (after being out of contract and just on a rolling contract) and yet my EE app, still shows I’m eligible to ‘Upgrade’??!

I personally think you guys will get it, and will bag yourselves a complete bargain. Amazon is big enough to honour their mistakes.

Managed to get the gold pro in my basket for 24/10 at my local Apple Store... One the fence about gold though, one where I need to see it in the flesh as I'm not really a showy gold person. If it was silver the trigger would have been pulled after all that 'skippin this year' lark earlier .

I dont think they can just send you a standard iPhone 12 128GB as that is not what was ordered.
I am pretty sure they would have to email you to let you know.

Hi everyone. Need some advice, I have ordered an iPhone 12 for collection on Friday at the apple store and now I'm thinking of getting into the iup. Will I be able to do it in store on the day. Also, can i change the phone later on if im not happy with the size of 12 if i sign up to iup?
