I can’t say I game on my iPhone so not sure I feel like 120hz is someone I’d say I’m in need of... but I imagine it’s like anything where once I have it I couldn’t go back.
I was sceptical about Face ID over Touch ID when it was rumoured but couldn’t do without it now!

I was also sceptical about face ID but love it now. Although sometimes, especially when wearing a mask, I'd quite like both face and touch ID.

I was expecting the announcement to be today. Being in the UK always makes me impatient as I know any announcement won’t come until much later in our day! Haha I just want to know when the event is!!!

All the rumours of 120hz have killed the excitement for me, still very curious to see what they unveil though.
True for Pro Models. But non-pro models are on paper exciting compared to previous non-pro thanks to improvements on screen department.
If no surprise features (120Hz or smaller bezel/notch) on 6.1 Pro, I would go on 6.1 non-pro. I care about 120 Hz but I don't about LiDAR or telephoto

Regarding the upgrade program. Can you reserve on pre-order day for say the day after release? I don’t think I can get the Friday off work this year

I don't think so. I seem to remember from previous years that you have to look at stock levels the next day as see where the handset you want is available.
