EE are brilliant. I have used them for three years and not a glitch. I buy my phones and watches outright but for sim services on my watch and phone, they have been brilliant

Can I ask what you’re paying and what you get with EE? I’m out of contract and I’ve had some issues with not being able to log into MyEE for 5 months so I am thinking of trying to do some haggling.

Three are by far the best IMO for sim only, they're probably the cheapest by a long shot compared to companies like EE and have just as much data and plenty of coverage, their customers service is 10/10 as well from experience.

You can get 30gb for £20 a month on a 12 month sim, the equivalent (all be it 100gb) would be £20 on 02 for 24 months (who needs 30gb of data, never mind 100gb...)

And then after the 12 months they'll drop the price for you when you say you're going elsewhere

Edit: Although looking around after posting this you can get pretty much the same with o2...so never mind. All about finding those deals

I'm not Joe, but I currently pay EE £19.30 (actual cost is £24 a month but I get the 20% blue light discount) for a 5G Smart plan with 60GB allowance and unlimited reserve data thereafter (speed capped at 2Mbps).

My free smart benefit is Apple Music so I'm actually paying under £10 a month for the phone service.

I have had an unlimited data (and a few calls/SMS) SIM-only from Three for years - around £20. I might be able to save a pound or two - but no more.

In a poor-coverage area, they are very similar EE which partner has. Vodafone is useless.

I signed up a year ago for my phone (when latest iPhone was released). I've paid for Apple Music through EE for a year now. How is everyone getting Apple Music as a smart benefit? Is it a new(er) plan?

I pay £33 a month. Unlimited calls, texts, data etc. That includes £5 a month for LTE for my watch plus my Apple music subscription at £10 a month.

I got 6 months of Apple music for free as one of their customer incentive schemes. The it ws £9.99 a month after that

2 trillion dollar company. Apple can afford it. Even when you do a return they will still end up making the $$$
Plus no one broke any rules. Does Apple have restocking fee for returns other than defective or Apple error? If not, they are the ones not covering themselves

Ah! Right. As I don't currently need credit, I saw the fearsome APR and left.
Yea I just open the obvious ripoff CC mail just to laugh at the terms. % is technically pointless if you pay it off monthly, but then they have like three ridiculous fees that come out to $100s a year without any benefits for it

Three are great in certain parts of the country but where I live they are patchy and a bit worse than O2. My in laws had sim only deals with Three and the amount of dropped calls and straight to answerphones we got was quite bad. My step mother is with them though in the South East and swears by them.

I’ll be heading to EE after 8+ years with O2, not annual upgrade though as I don’t need that. Looking forward to finally having decent network coverage after being lazy and sticking with O2 with their dismal service in my part of Wales for so long!
I left o2 for virgin then now vodafone and haven't looked back. O2 on reflection were shoddy and wouldn't match any other prices.

That’s what amazes me about them. They won’t even try to match EE even for someone who has been with them for years. They just come back with less data and a more expensive plan and when you tell them EE offer something better, they just tell you what they offer is fantastic because they are O2 .

I can’t see them being around much longer to be honest. They seem to be struggling.

O2 has been in a shaky position for several years after they lost the iPhone exclusivity.

They were due to be snapped up by Three a while ago before the competition commission blocked the deal.

Just earlier this year, it was announced O2 and Virgin would be teaming up on mobile and broadband, though it remains to be seen if this gets blocked as well.

I too left O2 for EE when EE released 4G. I contacted O2 with around 2 months of my then 18 month contract remaining, asking them for an early upgrade to lock me in for another 18 months - I think something like £40 was owing on the account. They declined, so I asked to port my number to EE and paid up was was due. Haven't looked back since.

o2 are pretty poor where i live better at work and other places i visit i also get some nice work perks so i have o2 for work EE for personal i've never had any problems with signal and the speed is great.

I don't like the new 3.9% increase +cpi each year they have just announced so be aware of this when you consider upgrading/joining EE as your signing up for this new increase each year if you do.

I like EE and will stay with them for BT sport access alone. Not paying those stupid prices from BT...£5 a month for on the tv has me covered.

dunno when 5G will be a thing here though...i think in city centre we have 5G but not near work or where i live...think it’s going to be a good year until its more common.

I have gone back to EE after trying out 3uk for a few months, nothing but problems on 3 , data stalling, web pages refusing to load, web pages start to load then stop, on EE these problems did not exist.

Back on topic, I think the 6.1 Max at $799 so £829 here?? is looking like the best option to tide me over until the iPhone 13 with 120hz, not bothered about Lidar or the zoom lens for an extra £200 or so quid.

Could be £779/£789 going off the cheaper £ to $ prices of the Watch and iPad Air.

Getting my S20U screen repaired which has an annoying shadow in the top left hand corner which can be seen when the phone is laying flat or held in the hand (never dropped etc etc).

Want to make sure I have zero problems if I sell / trade-in my S20U.

Collection is for Monday so repaired and back by Tuesday? lol I wish.
