.....well I’ll be going for the iPhone 12 in blue with matching silicone case and MagSafe + charger.

Will be trading in my iPhone XS to Apple, who are offering £260 so will buy the iPhone 12 outright - no more pesky 2 year’s worth of IUP payments for me!!

hope we’re all doing ok considering the year we’ve had
Well I have to say I’m quite underwhelmed.... cameras look cool but still using a lightning connector!! I mean come on!!

I would have given it a go if we could do the iUP online but Apple seem to have overlooked the pandemic in this country 🤣

It’s madness that they are not allowing us iup customers online delivery, what is up with that?!!!

I think with these new colours they really are a case of needing to see in person...which isn't possible obviously before pre order day...

And now with covid restrictions there's going to be way less videos online of hands on with the devices.

When are we expecting some reviews/videos do people think? Would be nice to get a good view of what the new phones really look like in person before ordering

I’m on a 11 pro max 256 gb - looks like Carphone warehouse is the best price so far at £630 which I’m tempted to sign up to to secure that price which will hopefully be ok if I manage to get an order in for the 12 pro max for launch day.

Tempted to try a private sell but find they are so much more hassle for just a little more money.

If you are on EE you do not need a new sim, if you got a sim from them in the last 2 ish years you should be fine.

Also noticed that they print the CE and bin logo on the band this year now that the sides are flat.

.....that’s only for the Pro Max. There’s no mention of a leather case for the standard iPhone 12 sadly.

.....not necessarily! When we switched from 3G to 4G, we required new SIM cards so hence the reason I was asking switching from 4G to 5G!

.....because I know if it goes to Apple, there will be none of my data left on the device once they have wiped it. If I send off to somebody, I’m always a little apprehensive that i may have forgotten to do something and might have left something on the phone!!

If you do a reset under Settings > General > Erase all Content and settings you will be safe, it will do a complete wipe and will also turn off find my iPhone at the same time so you’ll have no issues selling it on.

Just wipe it. Reset all.
Either that or lose out on an extra £100, maybe more. Unless you’re mega rich and money is no object for you.

Looks like the preparation is for people not using IUP and taking finance with Barclays for a 24 month loan. Will be an option to do that in advance of ordering Friday!
