It's happening 😬😬😬

So what we thinking, some models go on pre-order on the 18th with deliveries expected on the 25th?

Whilst that would be logical, all the rumours say delayed launch this year with deliveries in October at best. I’m massively hoping your timeline is actually right though!

You're about to get busy and I suggest you block out Tuesday evening next week to update once the announcement has been made..!

*Mental note* must dump off kids somewhere next Tuesday!

I usually go on a media blackout on the day and watch the replay in the evening

Keep your expectations in check everyone

Let's hope that is wrong...!
For what it's worth, I'm convinced it will be. The iPhone lineup is Apple's biggest seller, and I think they know they'd be thoroughly frustrating their loyal fans by announcing an event like this that the whole world will think is for new iPhones, and then just not mentioning it. I can well see that there will likely be a delay in the actual launch because of everything that's gone on, but my gut tells me they'll announce the new lineup next week regardless.

But what the hell do I know, I'm just some random internet forum poster! Lol

I suppose it’s happened once before in 2017 with the X, but it’s going to be a long run in if it’s the phones if we’re talking November for the Pro models ? I certainly wouldn’t back against Gurman’s view that it will be October for the phone announcement.

Everything’s falling into place for me this year. My brother wants to buy my 11 Pro Max for his son, but for Christmas. Just asked him if he wants it now and he said “nah, Christmas will be fine”. So even though I want my 12 Pro Max NOW it makes the wait a little easier....

I might even try and get on the upgrade programme. What’s prevented me from doing so in the past is wanting the new phones on launch day. It seems trying to get on the upgrade programme for the first time takes longer? Or am I mistaken?

@wizzywig27 I also LOVE this time of year. Do not like summer at all so it’s a relief when the temperatures start to drop. Lovely!

Just had an email from Apple about next weeks event. Mentions the new watch, iPad and the software updates, no mention at all of the new iPhone.

Think that was attached to the 22 June 2020 event below the new Time Flies event?

Everyone is of course entitled to a view but personally, I doubt we'll see news on the new iPhones next week - especially seeing that Apple have already said they're delayed until October.

They're not gonna talk about or demo a delayed product are they - that would just make them look stupid...?!!!!

...totally makes sense if you ask me.

Also - their Tag Line:

....also implies Apple Watch and nothing to do with iPhone.

Only delayed if they say its delayed. In my opinion a delayed product is when a company advises its release date and they then change the release date for whatever reason. If they announce it and say its released on November 6th then it isn't delayed.

Nothing states Apple have to release any product at a specific date, that's up to them.

Isn't that what they did with the iPhone X though? If my memory serves it was announced mid September, pre-ordered late October and delivered early November.

Totally agree. I think it would be daft of them not to announce the new phones now - they know keen fans expect them in September and would feel almost a bit 'let down' if they didn't announce them. Whatever date they then say they'll be available is actually then secondary, at least the addicts like us have had a fix via the announcement!

I’ve used IUP the last 3 phones and got them launch day. You do have to do it in-store
