Which 15 Pro are you getting?

I've just realised my Z Fold 4 is 263 grams & the 15 Pro Max is only 221 grams.

A weight saving of 42 grams!!

That's about the weight difference of either a large egg, 2 AA batteries, 24 playing cards or 40 paper clips in my pocket. What a result! 😂
That's useful to know, thanks. Use a fold as my dedicated work phone currently.

I just activated my music magpie quote I saved two months ago. Saw the kiosk option lowers it significantly so I picked Royal Mail instead. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? If I send my phone on 25 September, will I get the price they promised or much less for it? I thought you have three weeks to send it but there is no info anywhere and it only mentions 7 days?!

Also even if they receive it, will they honour the quote given iphone 14 pro max went down in price significantly following apple price changes due to stronger gbp currency exchange?
I’ll be interested to know an answer to this question too, not sure if I should use a local kiosk and pay the £20 or send via RM and spend £7.65. If I knew they’d honour the original quote less fee at the kiosk then I’d happily use that option.

Was not going to bother after not getting one for release date. Always going to be an impulse buy. Told myself this morning it’s ridiculous, don’t need the latest and greatest for what I do with my phone. Deleted store from my phone, closed browser and said that’s it, not bothering. So I have just ordered a 15PM 256GB in black( all my phones go straight into a black case on day one). Have to wait 4-5 weeks for delivery though.

It's not just that they are charging the premium for kiosk they are also not honouring the saved price. They are requoting at current price. See screenshot here. Current value is £400, I locked in £450. so they added the £10 voucher then deducted £60 to get it back to £400. Shady!

UR paying full amount £757. Email just came through.
That must have been a very anxious wait for you - they took their sweet time but very glad they came through for you and it was a positive result.

Their website says "Same Day Payment" but you've been waiting several days for correspondence let alone payment - obviously they're busy mind.

I like to do a fresh setup. Means I can install only the apps that I actually use. I've not got any fancy widgets or shortcuts setup so not losing out on much.

Think I might cancel my Apple 22sept del as bagged one from Argos for the 22nd and I’ll get 10% cb,was going to get my £80 for £100 e gift cards as well but could see it going out of stock while entering codes etc

Tried ordering again but not using Apple Pay. Seems to have worked... note to self: don't use Apple Pay for large payments.

But my delivery date is now 17-24th October. Honestly, I'm in no rush so I can wait if I need to but hoping it comes earlier. If I can grab one from a store sooner then I'll do that and cancel my online order. I just wanted to get an order in before it starts slipping further. The 512GB Pro Max in Black seems to be one of the less popular options.

Personally, I don’t see the issue with this.

All that’s been done is you saved a quote from two months ago. The value of the phones has dropped in the past two months, I think they’re right to be able to requote as you haven’t confirmed order with them.

I’m my line of work, if I quote someone £1000 for a job. The parts are £500 from supplier and the labour is £500. They come to me two months later and want to book in but the parts are now £750 from supplier, I’m not going to honour the £500 am I?

Hence why they run a policy where they honour checked out prices, as long as the device is received within 21 days. I think it’s naive to expect them to honour prices from two months ago when all that’s been done is a quote.

Anyone else thinking of returning the FineWoven case? Seems no where near £59 in quality. Going to wait for the phone next week to try it in, but not sure the material will age well..
The consensus doesn’t seem great.

John Gruber is a fan from his latest article, he says it’s not as nice as real leather but nicer than Apple’s leather cases…

… but it does seem there has been a quality drop in the pursuit of environmental gains from multiple other sources.

This quote I saved in the last 14 days which they allow you to save.

I do have a problem that they aren’t being transparent.

I am sure when you provide a quote you say this is subject to x amount of days.

Ooh I like that, how has it held up over the last year?
Like a champ. I have the Armor Air. Incredibly thin, but strong. Magnets are out of this world. I ordered the same Armor Air for the 15 Pro. The other one gives a bit more protection but more bulk as well.

Pricing compared to Pitaka is much better, half the price of that.
