Which 15 Pro are you getting?

I’ve bought a new cable but only for charging purposes in my car, a 0.5m USB A to USB C cable.
I ordered and received a pack of 3 USB A to USB C adapters for use in the car from Amazon. With hindsight, I think that I should have ordered a cable, but I will try an adapter first.

Got in early at work on Friday bang on 13:00 for my order, although did have to wait a min or two for the app store to open, and have it planned for delivery on the 22nd! Blue 256Gb Pro for me. It's going to replace my 4.5 year old XS, surely one of the oldest phones to be replaced with a new iPhone 15? ;) It's only my third iPhone, having had a 6S also, but the first ordered on release day, had a small bonus in the bank account at the right time to justify it.

My woven case, magsafe cable, and USB-C charger plug delivered yesterday successfully, just before I left the flat to get to the rugby. Have a USB-A to USB-C Belkin cable on order from Amazon to get Carplay working. My XS was in an original Apple black leather case, had a few knicks, scratches, but still going strong. Hope the woven will last as long, time will tell

This will be my first one, hoping it thin enough to make it feel just like a transparent silicone glove for the phone

Hope so for the price! Be interested once you get it for a comment on what you think, and if you think it’s worth it over standard Amazon ones please

Any other 14 Pro Max owners, who are starting to get buyer's remorse even before they have received their new phones? I feel like both the watch and the phone very much belong in an "S" year cycle..
Ah well, ended up cancelling both the phone and watch order. Still excited for everyone getting some new tech their way soon enough!

This is fine for charging but it’s going to be a slow speed cable like the one apple includes in the box. Should have bought usb 3.2 gen 2 cable instead which supports 10gbps transfer rates.

The standard is a mess. Why not USB 3.2 by default?

Can anyone link a USB 3.2 cable that also has fast charging?

Goodbye, £999.00

I use a E-sim and have for a few years. Once the iPhone is set up you can go into the EE app and download a new eSIM pretty easily. And because your using the app it doesn’t need to send you a text as it verifys your log in details.

Can you wipe phone, then restore from iCloud on a new phone, log in EE account using WiFi and get an eSIM?

I know the transfer method from old to new iPhone, transfers the eSIM, but wondering if could send off old iPhone and still get eSIM on new without the old?

I can confirm my credit card has also been charged £1,199 for in store pick-up on the 22nd at Apple Regent Street. Looking forward to the day!
I have read a couple of people asking about experiences with the trade-in etc so I figured I could share my experience with it. Two years ago I did in store and last year I sent it via mail and in both cases I got the refund within a couple of days.
Highly reliable I would say. I have also tried to use other companies like the Music Magpie for an iMac but it did not go well. The driver never appeared so I decided to send it to Apple, albeit the lower value at the time.
Have a nice week ahead of the launch day!!

I’ve still got a pro and pro max on order.

I’m tempted by the pro max but I’m not sure it’s practical for me. I work outdoors and not sure it would even fit in my work trousers!

I’ve ordered a cheap 14 pro max case from Amazon to try tomorrow so I’ll see how it feels

I’m getting Pro. Ease of carrying iPhone around is more important to me than 5x zoom or big screen. Since my move from 12 pro max to 13 pro I’ve never entertained the idea of going back to pro max.

Pro is so much easy to carry when you go Legoland, Drayton Manor and etc.
Weirdly the 7 plus was one of my favourites, now if I ever use it as a burner I wonder how on earth I lasted a year with it!

These are my feelings too. One-handed use outweighs the 5x zoom.

I don’t need 5x zoom to take pics of my dogs 😂
