Which 15 Pro are you getting?

I'd say 90% of people are going with 256GB. Anyone going bigger?

I initially went for the 256gb Pro Max, but then changed it to 512. My photo library size is 120gb, so didn't want to almost half fill a phone on day 1 of ownership, that I intend to use for a for years.

Always snapping photos and video of my daughter doing stuff, so I'd rather have the space (and new pics and video will take up far more space!)

Just checked my account / order in the apple Store app and it says my payment method could not be authorised, it was Apple Store account balance (gift vouchers) - going to my gift card balance it shows as 0.00, I had a full balance of gift cards to cover the phone - any ideas - getting nervous - app is saying awaiting payment etc.

I’ve still got a pro and pro max on order.

I’m tempted by the pro max but I’m not sure it’s practical for me. I work outdoors and not sure it would even fit in my work trousers!

I’ve ordered a cheap 14 pro max case from Amazon to try tomorrow so I’ll see how it feels

I did something similar when I was deciding if I should get the pro this year so I bought a £3 pro case from Primark and it looks so much better in my hands than my pro max which is huge HUGE for me to hold. I also tested it with my bags (I have a lot of handbags) which I switch out all the time depending on what I'm wearing and the pro fits like a glove inside whereas my pro max would take up all the space!

So I'm happy with my choice of getting a pro this year.

I got a pro in 128 initially but then ordered another one in 256 which I'm happy with as both are arriving on launch day plus I have 2TB iCloud storage so I'm happy with my decision.

I'll be returning the 128.

Can you wipe phone, then restore from iCloud on a new phone, log in EE account using WiFi and get an eSIM?

I know the transfer method from old to new iPhone, transfers the eSIM, but wondering if could send off old iPhone and still get eSIM on new without the old?

If the OP says you won’t need to receive a OTP code to your EE number when using the MyEE app you should be good to download a replacement to your new iPhone and subsequently active it.

The last time I did it I had to order a replacement SIM and use that to receive the code - there’s nothing stopping you (if you can’t get to an EE store) from ordering a replacement physical SIM so your line is active to receive any code(s) and then request an eSIM then.

Which screen protectors do people prefer between ESR and Spigen?

I ended up ordering them both so going to try figure out which one to go with.

Heden Seger [USB-IF Certified Gen 2 10 Gbps USB C to USB C Cable fast charging 2m (USB C Monitor Cable, 100W USB C Cable fast charging) with 8K Video and 100W https://amzn.eu/d/4q0rV2w

Urgh I just want a white one like Apple's, the connectors on that one are massive and the colour is awful

I’ve ordered the 256 but keep wondering if I should of gone with the 512. Crazy as I’ve only used 126 on my 14 pro max.

I've always used Spigen no matter what phone I have, got them again for me and the missus for our 15's, just always found them to do the job required.

Been on 512GB for the past few years, but moving to 1TB this year. I have icloud and could get by with 256GB if I were happy to save photos there (like I do with my iPads) but for the phone I like to keep all the originals on device (currently running at 24.5k photos and 1k videos)

But you can use iCloud as storage and backup

If you have 120gb of photos you need to back them up surely ? I have 190GB of photos and use opt option and it only takes 40gb on the photo

@BillGates1969 as the resident Mr home automation... what's your smart plug of choice? seen you can get a few which monitor energy usage + HomeKit integration.. the Eve plug comes up as the one bits its a bit pricy.

would want to then build automation around it (switch on/off at certain times etc)
I use these as they are pre flashed with an open source firmware called Tasmota

With home assistant this will plug into HomeKit. Also though, with home assistant you can do some funky automations to do with power draw, charging status etc.

Had my ESR Armorite protectors and Torro leather case arrive from Amazon today Been using Torro cases since the XR. Really nice quality and for me they hold up really well.
Nice colour!

I got the other design.

True, but I just felt I'd rather have it and not need it than the other way around. I am coming from a 7+ so will be keeping this phone for years and years 😅
