Anyone from within Sep 25-27 dates, have you NOT been charged yet? Still on processing, payment through Apple Pay.

And I hope AVBeatMan does too. But I’ve already seen one person whose order date slipped by a month as soon as it was confirmed.

I was pretty early with CPW last year tbf - probably about 13:20 so I think I was able to secure it.
It’s poor if they’re showing launch day deliveries now when they’re then slipping once confirmed.

Just ordered an iPhone 15 in yellow for the wife!

Delivery is 3rd Oct so even the the pre orders for these have sold out!
Must have loads of orders over the weekend.

I secured a 128gb one for my wife for release day at just gone 1pm. Checked Friday evening and could still get one for release day

Yeah seems that way.

My wife has the iPhone 11 at the mo and she isn't that fussed with getting the latest straightaway ( unlike me 🤣 )

Mine has a 13 pro and wants a new phone but wants to save some money

14PM 256gb shipped off to UR with locked in price of £832. Paid £9 for special delivery with insurance to cover the full cost. Fingers crossed it sails through

anyone else not touching ios17 until the new phone arrives?
I have been on the beta since it came out and like every year I never seem to have any real issues..Pet recognition, contact photos and the standby for me are the stand out features

the next 4 days are going to go sooooo slow

What a **** show, glad I'm financially f***ed to not be able to join in this year.

First time in about 4/5 years I've not had a launch day phone.

Might just buy a new case to make it feel like i have a new phone :)

Well, things have changed, i thought I'd see if O2 would let me upgrade my sim only plan seeing as i cant get a 15 Pro from Apple due to my bad credit score and i have secured a (supposedly) launch day pick up.

I'm getting it more for what i get back from selling my 14 Pro then what the 15 Pro can do, I'll be better off all round, happy days.

I wonder how many of the 209 people / 31.4% (and counting?) in the poll are now getting natural titanium, or did anyone switch to get a launch day delivery (I did, to white. I updated my poll answer)
I didn’t switch from natural T for the sake of waiting an extra week or 2

For those that have ordered with Argos, I've just had this response back from them on live chat regarding deliveries on launch date:

Jack, as I checked, this is the pre-order. As I checked, we did not get the stock allocated from the manufacturer, but the best part is that our team is working on it with them. Soon, you will get a notification for the delivery date, and if the store confirms that date, you can wait.

Time and again these 3rd party companies let customers down on promised launch day deliveries.

Golden rule: Unless there is a very good reason to do otherwise, ALWAYS buy directly from Apple.

My phone was delivered to UR on Thursday and I’ve just had the email confirmed they’ve ‘received it’ this morning. Spoke to them and it should be getting assessed today and if it’s done before 4pm I’ll get paid today otherwise it will be tomorrow.

First time I've purchased an iPhone and didnt get Applecare+
Hope I don't live to regret it!

Slowly moving away from all warranty purchasing - my car warranty expires tomorrow as well! Always end up paying for them but never end up using them!
Without wanting to encourage a change of mind - I believe you get a certain number of days after purchase/activation to buy directly on the device?

It's not the retailers fault in the main, they don't get the stock, their stock is allocated by Apple/Syncreon and despatched by them,

This is what I'm thinking. Received the box and postage label from UR today. Might pay extra for recorded delivery though. Is that what you did?
I’ve sent mine back via special delivery. I didn’t get my returns pack until the 12th and they count 14 days from the order date so I‘ve been re-iterating to customers services that I should have until the 26th to get the phone back to them

This is an uninformed advisor that probably barely knows there’s new phones out. Argos have a good track record of delivering on release day, so you’ll be fine.

Even Argos’ Twitter page was saying nonsense about the Pro Max pre orders, no one seems to tell their staff anything in Argos’ world.
