I've ordered a FineWoven (green) case, but had given up on Apple cases before this announcement & I'm not hard on my gear in any way - I'll give this new material a go, but if it's no better then I'm out.

Their leather ones delaminated - particularly on the corners, the very thin layer of leather over the chassis of the case peels away & exposes the material below. Green leather on my 13 PM and the blue leather on my 12 P looked poor after a few months.

The silicone ones seem to chip (I guess were dropped) & expose a second layer underneath & also get polished / shiny, losing their matte finish on the corners - not good enough for the money. I've got a cheap JETech silicone case from Amazon for my work iPhone 11 that's held up a lot better for a fraction of the price & still looks new.

Ive had a silicon one on my 13PM since new, and honestly it still looks mint - no marks or chips. Will most likely get the Clay SIlicon on my Natural 15PM this time too.
However, I know others who have had silicon cases that have chipped etc - they managed to get free replacements from Apple.

Yup; I stupidly sold my previous 14PM and bought an S23U; hated it, so moved back to an IP14PM
Did the same thing, though picked up a temporary 13mini for the gap instead. Missed having a small phone, now they've stopped selling, wondering if I should keep it alongside or trade in.

S23U - lovely specs, pen sounds great (and I never used it), camera zoom cool, but gimmicky, and for those wondering about no 10x (or 100x digital zoom) in the 15 pro max - I only used those on the S23U to demonstrate it, and in reality they were quite blurry in the digital zoom. The 10x looked cool, but for limited cases.

My credit card worked straight away when manged to change from my debit card. The reason we need to use card as i am trading old iPhone and they use this in case there is an issue with your trade in.

Yup; for me it was not having my AWU that I missed the most... Didn't think I was using it that much until I sold it on with the IP14PM and then a few weeks into S23U ownership I realised that the iPhone was the phone I needed haha 😂

I'm not arsed re the costs; I'm a gadget nerd so used to selling stuff off with bit of a loss at times etc; I've still got my trusty Pixel 4XL, owned since new & it's faultless (still a bloody good camera too); the S23U IMO really wasn't worth it over that and seeing as everything else I have is Apple...!

Hello, apologies if that has been answered in previous pages - if I want to receive my pre-order as soon as possible, should I choose “collect from store” or delivery? Historically which one has been faster?
In what way faster? Are you talking the ordering process?

Tomorrow at 1pm I'm going to be sat at LHR T5 waiting for a plane to Stockholm, so hopefully their poor mobile coverage wont thwart my plans for a 15PM.

I've gone with the Apple trade in this time, which is the 1st time I've done it this way.

I think it will be a similar price using eBay after fees etc.
Did you check mazuma too? They seem to offer decenet prices compared to others.

They quoted £755 for 14 Pro Max 512GB (minus £7.15 to Royal Mail for Guaranteed Delivery by 1pm which offers £750 insurance by default).

Hi guys, pre-pre ordered a 256gb in titanium blue. Always gone for black or slate grey in the past - basically as black as I could go, but think this blue looks pretty nice. Also got the pacific blue case on order too.

My question is. For my iPhone 13 Pro, I’ve always used ESR Armorite screen protector, but I’ve seen people recommending the EZ Fit and I have to be honest, the applicator seems much better. But I’ve seen some comments about screen coverage and that the ESR is still better. Have I read that right? Basically I am trying to work out which to get 😂

I didn't! I'm trading in a 12 PM so can imagine won't get more then Apple are offering anyways and might be less hassle sending it etc

Depends what you like, I used ESR up until last year but prefer how the Spigen is applied so swayed that way.

Does spigen still cover the majority of the screen like the ESR? I just have visions of a big gap around the edge of the screen. To be honest, I am probably over thinking this haha

I don't like the way screen protectors do not go to the very edge of handset. The ridge around the outer edge annoys me. Hence I do not use them - always been fine without.

I also think they are made to easily crack and break with the slightest drop - making people think that it 'saved the phone' and they buy more and replace straight away! 9 times out of 10 that drop wouldn't have cracked, or marked, the main phone screen at all!

It’s more to stop the deep scratches. I’ve never really dropped my phone and it’s in a case anyway. I have a habit of putting my keys in the same pocket as my phone 😭

If you’re applying for credit from Barclays, what have credit cards got to do with anything?
They are asking for credit card to secure the preorder in case the loan application will not go through I assume. I don’t know for sure why

It could be a way to perform an ID check further to the loan application credit check.

I've had that done even in a physical store (Apple Covent Garden) back in 2016. They wanted to perform an ID check and needed a credit or debit card. Which wasn't an issue because I was paying by card anyway.

Strange - my finance went through without any need for a credit card.
If you are doing a trade in they may ask for card details just to ensure they get the traded in phone, otherwise your card will be charged the trade in value so they do not lose out.

Yes I had my iPhone to trade in too so I guess that’s why.

Do you owe anything on a previous Barclays loan that the trade in won’t cover? I’m about £100 short, so have to pay the difference.

I used the Amorite for most of the time with my 14PM then a month or so ago noticed a bit scratch so out on the Spigen. The Spigen applicator is definitely better and I can’t really tell the difference between them. I’ve ordered a Spigen for my 15PM as ultimately the installation process wins
