I’m glad this poll is showing my colour choice as the third most popular… hopefully this increases my chances of a launch day delivery!

Edit: RIP to those in the Black Titanium crew who get their order in at 13:05 lol
 
I got an almost launch XR and the 16 lineup didn't tempt me one bit, even if I would be due for an upgrade. Unless someone gifts me one the 16s I'm forced to wait another year or, who knows, even switch to Android. It's 2024 and not even 120Hz on the base model? Lately iPhone isn't as exciting as it used to be.

And I don’t mean this in a disparaging way at all - I did my pre-order today!

But when you said everyone has probably done the pre pre order, I just don’t agree. We are a minority. Everyone in my family owns an iPhone, all of them get whatever the latest one is when it’s contract renewal time, except one member who gets the old model from another member. None of them buy directly from Apple.

Maybe I exaggerated the everybody bit lol

I think all techies on forums like this would do it if they are buying SIM only. Makes more sense to get a quick order

Yeah for sure, that's exactly my situation — sim only with the carrier, buy outright from Apple. Just cleared the remaining £155 balance on my 14 PM, so all set to complete on Friday.

Is it possible when doing the pre-order on Friday to reserve an in-store collection for that day?

I bought the 15 PM using Barclays 0% 24 monthly payments last September and added on 2 years AppleCare+ cover for £179. This amount was added to the Barclays loan.

If I trade my 15 PM to Apple online for the 16 PM am I able to get a refund for the unused 12 months of AppleCare+ which was on my Barclays loan?

If not I may need to rethink my strategy in future and take AppleCare+ on a monthly payment scheme to avoid losing out if I swap again within 2 years. It costs slightly more per month but if I’m only ever using 1 year of the cover then it makes sense.

Yeah you should be able to click collect next to confirming delivery

just got my £713 for 1st pro max so I’ve now pre saved the order. Hopefully there are no issues on the app

I've decided to take the plunge this year and upgrade my iPhone 12 with 84% battery health to a 16 pro max! Excited for a better camera and battery. :) Thought I'd try the larger screen too.

dunno I had £683 locked in and I used a code which expired already but they have honoured it. I had this quote in my basket for like 3 weeks and it let me do it at checkout. was surprised to be honest

I have a checked out order on MM which has technically expired but still says they’re waiting for my device.

Was tempted to try putting this one in and the kiosk and seeing if it gets honoured before doing my ‘valid’ one.

Yes, I think you have to ring up and cancel the AppleCare+ separately but it will then be refunded back to Barclays who will either deduct it from your loan or if you’ve already settled the Barclays loan, they will send you a cheque.
 
I'll probably wait till december for the AI localised release in the UK then pick up a base 16.
 
I’m not excited for the AI rubbish whatsoever but I got a feeling there won’t be a way to turn it off.

Hi everyone, it’s that time of year again. placed my preparation order this morning iPhone 16 Pro Max 512GB Black Titanium. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a new Apple Watch Ultra but I guess we can’t have everything. Could anyone recommend a good trade in site for an iPhone 15 Pro Max?
