Gutted about the anytime upgrade - if it’s not there tomorrow on the 16 deals, i probably won’t upgrade.

The full works plan has less inclusive perks as well. Why have they decided to ruin their offering?
Im not surprised they have changed them.

I'm on a full works SIMO with TNT Sport, Apple Music and Gamepass Ultimate. Oh and unlimited data. I pay £32 a month. It's a steal!

If I were to do the “get ready” on the Apple Store for the pre approval to make things quicker tomorrow (including a trade in as well) but then decided not to go ahead with a purchase, what would happen then?

Absolutely nothing, you’ve basically just left something in your basket ready to go. If you don’t confirm it tomorrow you won’t have ordered or be charged.

Ok, thanks for that. I didn’t want to add something to a trade in. Change my mind and be left in a situation where I have to trade in my current phone 🤣

May go for the Black Titanium tomorrow. While the Desert is nice and I did love the XS Max in a similar colour, I’ve not had a black phone since the Jet Black iP7.

Back to black, I think.

I am going for the 16 PM in Natural Titanium, and I am looking forward to an increased screen from my 12 mini! It is going to take a while to get used to, for sure.

My only issue will be is it too big... fingers crossed i find out on the 20th

No pre-order fun for me this year, inexplicably declined for a loan this year (despite never having any issues with anything in the past) and don't really feel like dropping it on credit card. Oh well I still prefer my Blue 15PM to any of the colours this year anyway...
Barclays? Same for me. I’m savvy with my credit worthiness (pay no attention to a score as the lenders don’t see it) there is nothing untoward on my report but turned down. Wanted to pay monthly zero interest luckily can buy it outright but would have rather done the monthly.

Cest la vie.

Mine initially got declined too. I live in a block of flats and realised the two addresses you have to put it didn’t match EXACTLY. Retried and it went through fine. Could be the issue?
Now I’m confused… two addresses? I’m sure I only put my address in once…

I’m not submitting another credit check for Barclays to see the address fields lol

Have you guys re-tried it? My friend at work tried it today and it failed.

Increased his earnings (he under stated his earnings) and set his new address (over his parents) and it went through second time.

Barclays checking isnt as strict as people make it out to be.

I'm new to the Barclay pre-approval. Used my current phone as trade-in but it's trying to take that full value from my actual bank. Is that right?

No chance. I’m not going to keep re-applying for a loan.

Although according to both Experian and Equifax neither a soft nor hard search was done yet I was still declined.

You must have definitely filled in something incorrectly or not matching data that barclays have access to. No harm in re-trying as it doesnt affect hard or soft credit scores.

Last time I tried with Apple I was refused although my credit rating was quite good, this time my credit rating is awful (fell through the furlough cracks during Covid and defaulted on something) and this time I was approved. It is a mystery.

Too late now to get accepted and signed off in time before 13:00 tomorrow.

Same here — near perfect score, declined for a second year in a row. Two years ago, when my salary was nearly half, accepted in an instant.

Phoned and appealed, and included some additional income and still declined. Very strange 🤷

Same I’m currently on the 12 mini. Bit nervous on size!
Why the jump from the mini to 6.9"?

I went from the 13 mini to the 6.1" Pro and it's been perfect, just the right size/weight.

But going from the mini to the Pro Max, it's not just the size but a significant increase in weight - that thing is going to feel heavy.

I'd consider going to the 16 Pro instead, it has the same spec as the PM this year (apart from battery and screen size), and you still get a much bigger screen than the mini but much less weight.

I’m not OP, but I’ll also be going from the mini to the Pro Max.

For me it’s because the mini is only just usable with one hand, so anything larger means I’ll need two hands. If I’ll need two hands anyway I might as well get the largest screen I can.

plus the battery will be amazing, especially coming from a 3 or 4 year old mini

That was exactly my thinking about 4 years ago when I went from Pro to Pro Max. I had been totally against big phones until I realised that I was already using my Pro two-handed pretty much all the time anyway so thought in that case why not get the benefits of a bigger screen and best battery life.

I now don’t notice the size of my Pro Max at all, sometimes it even feels a bit small to me and I briefly get confused and wonder if I accidentally ordered a Pro not a Pro Max! As for weight I keep it in one of my my front trouser pockets and the weight has become so unnoticeable to me that on a few occasions I’ve had a moment of panic on leaving the house because I’ve thought I’ve left my phone at home only to pat my pocket and find that it is actually there.

I really was surprised how quickly I adapted to the bigger size and heavier weight of the Pro Max after having spent so long wanting my phones to be smaller and lighter.

Its instant approval process. Do it tomorrow after 9am. Don't do it outside of core hours as it doesn't get approved or gets placed on hold.
My first application was outside of core hours! The fact it was instant like literally 2 seconds I don’t know how it had time to send my application to Barclays and for it to register on their system, for a check on credit worthiness to be instantly a no in under 2 seconds!!

For me it’s a bunch of reasons - mostly listed above.

Also my eye sight is ***** and there is only so much the mini can display
