Hi there - please try to look past the myth around the 'credit score' in the UK - lenders will never see it; its number made up by the CRA's to make you feel better and as you've mentioned your near 'perfect score' got you declined - Barclays will never have seen that number I promise you.Same here — near perfect score, declined for a second year in a row. Two years ago, when my salary was nearly half, accepted in an instant.
Phoned and appealed, and included some additional income and still declined. Very strange 🤷
In the US a credit score is a thing - in the UK that number is meaningless. I've seen evidence of people that have come out of bankruptcy with a 999 perfect score on Experian for example.
