Other way round for me, this will be my first ever delivery. I'm on 12 hour nights on the 19th & again on launch day, so going to the store would have resulted in a serious lack of sleep. My Wife's not working that day so I don't have to worry about missing the courier. I'd have preferred the usual store pick up, as I'll need to go there anyway to get a screen protector fitted.

at least we're in it together! trying to call Apple now, the robot just told me the estimated wait time is 50 minutes hahah
I did, sorted now I think.
Pretty annoying as I setup a pre-order in advance. When the apple pre-order page finally refreshed I got a message saying it had been cancelled.
So I quickly did a new order and loan application. Turns out the old pre loan authorisation was still active. Barclays made me going through some additional checks with driving license and selfie photo. All sorted now with order progressing with apple but delivery date changed from 20th to 25th - 30th Sep. Hoping it comes a bit earlier.
This year I have not been able to get it delivered on the 20th. I wanted the 16PM in the new desert colour. When I was completing the order it still showed 20th for delivery but when I finalised it, the date was already on 25th September. My partner was able to get one for pick-up at Regent Street in 16PM white. From experience, they will load new stock every day from the 20th very early in the day for walk-ins, so I am positive those that missed it today will still be able to get one on launch day.
Hi, having the same issue! Had the email from Barclays to say loan approved but still 'on hold' on the App Store. Is yours a store collection order?
Did you have as much fun as I did? My confirmation email has finally come through but when I click on the link to accept the contracts etc the website is down again. Says I’ve got 72 hours so I’ll try again this evening 😂
I'm in the same boat on the phone with customer support now. They are being quite rude to be honest and saying that it's "not on the main system" and to call back in the next 3 hours (after waiting 40 mins on hold)
Finally got order all sorted! We got in pretty early, me and Dad and ordered. Then later Dad got his payment declined and also he didn't check his Apple Pay email address and it was wrong.
Then about 30 mins later my order payment was declined. Dad was already on chat about his so I had to go on chat for mine and I end up US chat instead of UK! US person said UK chat must be so overloaded and it accidentally pushed me to US chat. Thankfully my order pay eventually changed to update payment button so I was able make my card go through for 2nd time. Took hour and half get it all sorted for us both!

I have that on mine, it also only shows on the app on my iPad and not the phone. Finance has been approved so don’t know what’s happening.
Mine took ages, but was all confirmed and had a text to say it has all gone through... So hoping for the 20th...
But every year its the same, it all collapses and even now they have a queue in place and myo2 is down for a lot of people..
crikey. keep us updated! i reckon the Apple Store must be having troubles and maybe they sort non-finance preorders first - then ours?
i'm hoping they honour the original pick up date of the 20th though.
So update from the other threads.
I have just got off the phone with a manager from the online customer service team. They said they can see my order and the finance is all approved in their secondary system. Apparently some orders are not syncing straight away to their main system (where they can make edits) but said it should be there in the next few hours. If not they are open till 8pm tonight (08000480408)
Just posted an update above. TLDR it is in one system and not the other and should sync in the next few hours
The full works sim only plan is still quite expensive - works out roughly the same IMO
Thanks for this- so we won't loose our slots at stores for pickup? That's all locked in until the payment is sorted? I phoned support but couldn't get a straight answer on this.
That's what she said. Of course, got to take everything with a pinch of salt. Had to insist on speaking to a manager to get a straight answer out of them unfortunately
Yep same thing with me - went for white - but same order principle. Went from 20th to 25th just by changing to the next screen.

I was initially planning 256GB at £50 upfront and £60.63 with Three. EE beat it with £30 upfront and £57.40 a month but since it was less than my budget I enquired about the 512GB version and it was EE: £30 upfront, £63 a month vs Three £50 upfront, £68.88 a month. 512GB version. Three's plans are 150gb data while EE was unlimited.
Currently paying £76 a month for my 14 Pro 256GB.
