Fast charge isn’t supported via wireless charging on iPhones the only way to do fast charge is with the Apples Official USB-C to Lightning cable and the 29W MacBook Charger.

If no one brought them then they may think twice but I bet some idiots do part with that much money.
Happened for me on Barclay's visa for the watch. Tried again after they told me there was no problem and it worked.This isn't funny, just tried again, same issue.
Tried a different card, same problem.
If I don't get accepted on IUP I will put it onto a 0% credit card and pay it off as quickly as I can.
Tried with a different card (none of my cards have balances)-same issue, declined.
Grrr.
Sickening? Yes. Against eBay's ToS? Also yes.

I've had the opposite happen to me - fine one day, refused by them 6 months later. No idea why, as others have said they seem unpredictable - I have an excellent credit rating with Experian so am not sure what criteria they used.
I saw eBay listings on the day of the keynote and posted a link to one here on MacRumors. I thought no one would be crazy enough to start posting iPhone X listings on eBay only a few hours after the keynote, but a few nutjobs already started posting them. Not only that, he was selling it at £1,899.99 and he had already sold one! I reported the listing anyways as it violates eBay's rules on pre-orders requiring them to be deliverable within 30 days of auction closing.
You don't have to buy Apple's 29W charger, you can buy any other USB-C charger that supplies >18w and you'll be fine.
Yeah I guess you're right, I'll reserve it on the IUP and if the reviews are not the best I'll just cancel and go for the 8+, but leaning towards the X atm. Really really hope it's possible to reserve because I'm not waiting till January would rather get the 8+ than wait to be honest!

Yeah typically closer to release date, but AirPods did get reviewed as pre-production models quite a while before they were available to order
I've just cancelled my in-store pickup; re-ordered a 64GB White iPhone 8; gone with a standard Watch 3 instead of the Cellular one -- I use PAYG, and I don't think it'll work with PAYG for a while yet (and it's first gen cellular).

There’s normally an embargo that is typically lifted on the Tuesday before the launch. Expect the review on November 1st. Reviewers will probably get the device around a week earlier.
