Anyone going case-less? I bought a Spigen Air skin but seems a shame to cover the back up but I’m worried about slight scratches on the glass

I usually put a case on but this time I’m going caseless. The back seems very durable so I don’t think scratches will be much of a problem.
You might also wish to consider that if you break the glass back it will cost more than a screen replacement.

Case-less if I go via IUP as I’ll in effect be paying about £100 for the year of AppleCare vs £50 for the leather iPhone case.
If I get it from EE or buy outright I’ll get the offic leather case.
I’ve gone with a Renvoo silver bumper ‘case’ for my 8+.
Could well be my fave phone/case combo.
I joined the iUP on Friday. Today I've had a text from Barclays asking me questions about my experience. Has anyone else had this. I'm assuming it's legit but not 100% sure.

Just had a look and feel of the 8 Gold Plus in store and must say it looks really nice the glass back but turn it around and it just doesn’t feel like an upgrade from my 7 Plus. Oh well the lottery that’s going to be the X it is!

Visually the front is identical so it won’t feel like an upgrade. The performance of the iPone 8+ however, apart from the OLED screen is pretty much the same as the iPhone X.
I fully understand that many are happy to wait for the X despite the price tag. I may get one myself when the time comes.
This passage, however, from CNBC sums it up pretty well:
“Most folks are probably fine sitting pretty with an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, but there really are some fine upgrades here. The screen is way better, the cameras are better, and wireless charging is a convenience that I'm willing to pay for, even if it is a little slow. If you don't need those things, then don't upgrade.”
Could someone pop a survey up that asks (from this thread)how many of the 256GB X choices will be for each colour. I’m hoping that all of you want a black one so I can get my silver one on release day
Also, has anyone come across a pic of the X without power on? I’d like to see what that screen looks like without the hulking great big notch!!

Can anyone recommend a screen protector for the 8 Plus please? One I can order of Amazon, I want it delivered to the office tomorrow. Do any screen protectors go to the edges of the phone??
I had a panzer one from O2 on my 7 plus (it had rounded edges so it wasn't as sharp around the edges), that was £20, but the other week it broke, so I bought a £4 one from B&M and I must say I'm impressed, even came with an applicator so it fit perfectly, regarding the second part, I don't think I've come across any that go right to the edge as mist will be designed to be 'case friendly'
I normally opt for Tech 21 cases (around £30) they don't add too much bulk, but I would say that they're better than the apple cases, or if you want as minimal as possible, have you considered a skin such as dbrand? (but that option doesn't really offer that much protection)

I don't really get why people say they'll wait til next year's model. There is always going to be something newer on the horizon. That said I'd would perhaps stick with my 7+ if there wasn't an X coming.

I really don't know what couloir to get now the bezel around the screen is black. I would have been spray grey/ black but might go for silver now

I thought I would try the IUP one last time and same as before got turned down again so that settles that! Looks like I will be renewing with Vodafone in oct/nov.
I may be wrong but I'm sure I heard that they would have to cancel your iUP for the 8 and start a complete brand new one for your 8 Plus.
It’s beautiful I had a look in Apple store on the day of launch. However it’s made me want the x even more because it’s not much of an upgrade from a 7 in my opinion
