So your order still went through even though your bank blocked the transaction, right? As in you got an order confirmation/email, you didn’t have to go to the website and pre order again?
I think Apple just retry the payment every day for x (no pun intended) amount of days.

Most of the issues I have seem from MR forum members previously have been when Apple take or attempt to take payment before dispatch (as opposed to at the time of placing the order). Best way to avoid any issues is to call your bank in advance to tell them you are making a purchase online at Apple AND that you'll kill them if they do not authorise :D.

some not all banks fraud blocks are automatic so they can't give that assurance if it happens it happens i'm afraid.

Thats different to overseas transactions where if you are going overseas its best to inform your bank and then a foreign transaction shouldn't be automatic block if you don't already have regular overseas transactions. Most of the banking industry is automated with little human input its only when mistakes happen or fraud blocks activated do real people get involved.

Payment wasn't taken straight away, normally they charge the card a few days before dispatch. Which is what happen to me. Yes I received an order confirmation.

Ok, I think they put an authorisation hold on the card at the time of order, and then charge the amount before dispatch.

My nike series 3 Apple Watch due to arrive around the time the x is suppose to be out..going to be mad when i get a delivery and it’s my watch not the new iPhone lol

Maybe, but they didn't do this when I pre-ordered the Series 3 watch last month. I was charged the a couple of days before I received the dispatched email.

Not heard of them previously i must admit but when i googled sell my phone it came up near the top.

On there says i could get £600 for my 7 plus and my Apple Watch series 2

Would you risk it?
[doublepost=1507043434][/doublepost]Came really close to getting an iPad Pro 10.5 then I thought I never normally use them much and always sell them, but hmmm it looks very nice lol

I’m trying to work out if I’m unlucky enough to have a fraud check on the transaction would this be at the stage of pre ordering or when payment is taken at the time of shipping? and does this cancel the pre order and put my phone back in stock for someone else to order or does it stay reserved to me awaiting me to contact my bank and then make payment again?

I renewed last month with EE and now pay £25 for 30gb with free BT (which I had anyway), 6 months Apple Music and data included for the States and 4 other countries on top of Europe.

I upgraded my sim only plan last week and got 4GEE Max, unlimited minutes/texts, 33gb of data for £17.99!

Think Three were doing the same so they were matching it.

Sorry yes I wasn't saying it would guaranteed but it might help. At least it has for me in the past. I bought a car on credit card (or might have been debit card). Transaction was for around £13k and I phoned the bank before hand. The card transaction went through and the sales rep at the dealership was shocked saying that almost all such transactions are referred!

Admittedly it was a few years ago and practices have been tightened since. Now I get an automated call on my mobile where there is a 'suspicious' transaction and it has to be reprocessed.

picked up my 8+ 256gb from the EE shop about an hour ago, having space to actually save stuff is a huge thing, i regretted the 16gb on my 6+ since i got it. Decided to setup as a new phone and start fresh. It feels quite weird because it feels the same as my 6+ but different at the same time. I do love the product red leather case against the space grey though.

As I said above most I have read about happen at the time Apple are about to dispatch and therefore taking payment. However this might only be a day or so between you placing the order and Apple taking payment at launch time. People say they usually get an email from Apple saying they will try to take payment again with in a time period and advising them to contact their bank and as long as they act quick I don't think it affects their order / place in the queue. Hasn't happened to me though but read about it plenty on the forum.

One way to avoid might be to use your Paypal account instead however if you are paying by credit card and do so via Paypal you lose certain protection rights and insurance.

If I could get anywhere near that as a new customer I would go back to EE, how much was you paying before if I can ask?

Question for anyone with a normal 8.
When you run your finger from the screen over the side towards the sim card tray, does your phone feel flush and smooth like your finger is rolling round towards the back in one continuous movement or does it feel like there is a lip almost like a square angle and your finger is travelling down a step?
It almost feels like the screen is lifting up a little bit on the right hand side.
Well after talking with an Apple rep last night and sending them pictures of my phone, they agreed that this didn’t seem right. They advised me to take it back to where I purchased the phone.
I took it back to O2 tonight who replaced the phone hassle free. In fact the sales reps were amazed to see an iPhone 8 being returned faulty!! Excellent service from O2!!

shame that deal isn't the same for new customers..all i see is 22GB of data for £26 as month or 18GB of data for £22 a month

With EE, you are best off getting a good cashback deal in year 1 as a new customer, then you get the retention deals after that.

Off to install 11.0.2 now...

Not sure if you were looking at Three or not sorry but they have 30GB data with all you can eat texts and calls for £18 a month or 12GB for £14 a month. Both plans have 'binge' which means no data use for Netflix and a few other streaming services and 'feel at home' which means use you allowance as normal in loads of countries abroad including USA.

That does look stunning. I went however for the nike+ with ceullar option. Mainly for the fact fitness wise is a big reason i'm getting the watch and price wise it is far more manageable certainly with the iphone x to get end of the month.

That was my thought originally (fitness and budget) so I ordered the gold aluminium with pink sand sport loop but didn't like the gold and made the mistake of trying a stainless steel model and loved the look and weight of it!
