Yeah your definitely all in, I'll be sticking with my 12W charger seems suffiencent.

And dont you have a 14 day cooling off period for EE contracts, worse case scenario you could take it out closer to the X release and cancel it If you see something better with EE for the 256 X.

Not the most ideal of things but would stop you kicking yourself if the X 256 EE deals are rubbish.
Yeah this is true, will be interesting on the wait if I ordered with EE via contract.I know lately they have got a bad rep getting products out on time and letting customers know doesn’t seem to be the greatest.

I have added my 0% credit card to my apple store account just in case it's needed, thinking of doing that as my backup choice first to get it secured then wait a week to see if I can upgrade or buy out vodafone and then decide what to do from there.

Don't really like using credit cards but it's the fastest and easiest way to go click, click buy.

got an email from EE 50% off the upfront cost of pixel 2 or Pixel 2xl with a free home mini on selected tariffs strange how they are sending out emails already for the pixel and yet no special deals for the iphone x or 8

I wonder how much Apple will make from all those waiting (desperately)for the X? I soooo want shiney new Apple goodies! Resisting temptation at the moment (just!).

Guessing they know hardly anybody will buy the pixel that’s why.

If it’s a 0% then as long as you set up a regular payment to clear it in time, it’s a good option and cheaper than any contract would be

:apple: Payment Plan , Upgrade Programme , Carrier Contracts o_O; too much hassle! I am on EE sim free contract and buy outright without a backward glance, courtesy of my Apple fund. Also i offset the cost from selling my current phone.

Still 3wks away , this is nerve racking

EE sent me an email on 22 Sep:

The new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are here and you can enjoy £5 off the cost of your monthly plan when you order yours before 01 October 2017!

I've also received the same offer for the Pixel.

Pre-order yours now and get £5 off your bill each month. You’ll also get a free Google Home Mini.

I used to do that until the iPhone 7+ and the price of that was over £900. Now the iPhone payments plan to me is best option for affordability and freedom but I refuse to take a carrier contract as they are a rip off. Fine when they used to be for 12 months and you get your call and data plan and phone for max £50 per month and the phone was yours and fully paid for and yours to sell at the end. I also much prefer buying from Apple direct.

Did I mention that my Nike Apple Watch is being delivered today!? :D

I’d literally just got my series 2 watch a week before the announcement:(

Bought privately so can’t return it!!

May try and sell it on and as I’m with EE see if I can add it to my contract or something

What phone did you go with in the end @Azzin ? I’ve missed all the hype on here this year

I went for a 256Gb 8 Plus.

I liked the look of the X, but something (I’m not really sure what) just wouldn’t let me get one.

I’ve just had another ping from DPD, telling me that the DPD driver is making drop number 1 and that I’m number 39!

What do you think of it?

Be interested in your thoughts on the watch also

I always feel the need to clear credit card debit as fast as I can yet happy to pay whatever amount per month in a credit agreement, if I do use my credit card it will be paid off very very quickly.

John Lewis have got stock of the model I am waiting for from Apple. I would buy from JL instead of waiting another 3 weeks but I am still not 100% that when I find the watch I like the look of that it is for me. For one thing I usually take my watch off a work when on the PC keyboard! I want to take further advantage of the ability to try for 2 weeks under Apple's excellent return policy.

You can add a S3 watch to your EE contract for £25 per month plus an upfront fee from £29.99 to £159.99 (except for 38mm aluminum models which are £0 upfront). Term is 24 months and includes unlimited data. Total cost overall seems quite high to me as say the 38mm aluminium would be £399 direct from Apple plus 18 x £5 per month to add to an existing EE plan (first 6 months are free if you buy watch elsewhere). That makes a total cost of £489 over 2 years compared to £600 over 2 years buying from EE.

I also got my Series 2 a few months ago (having had a S0 since launch)..... and whilst something inside me does scream for a S3 because it is there....... I really don't think I need it. The only time I'm ever without my phone is in the gym, and when there I don't really want to be distracted by phone calls/messages! So cellular connection really wouldn't make much of a difference to me. Likewise Apple Music streaming would be cool - but in reality I sync my regular playlists automatically anyway so really not worth the extra expense.

well i'm slowly updating my apple products my savings are taking a hit but gadgets are my passion just upgraded from the 9.7 pro to the 12.9 2017 256gb ipad pro the size is overwhelming but i'm getting used to it.

i also got the airpods and finding them very useful and sound quality is great they fit my ears perfectly which was my only worry. The next items on my list is the iphone x and the celluar 3 series of the apple watch currently have the original watch not so sure about that purchase at the moment. is it 3 week today when pre orders open for the iphone x ?

just took the plunge and ordered a new Apple Watch for delivery tomorrow, as well as having changed my sim to EE in preparation for the watch, my apple fund is taking a beating this month

I am seriously considering taking the hit financially in the short term to move to EE just need to try and justify it a bit more inside my head before making a decision, the apple watch is also very tempting but unsure I would ever need/use/want the LTE version.
