I don't think it will cost £1000.

All the rumours suggested £1000 dollars and that's about £760 so add some tax on and it's £800.

£1000 will be the price for the largest storage models.
I hope so we always get screwed look at apple music in the states $9.99 uk price £9.99
The only company doing it right is netflix us $7.99. $9.99. $11.99 uk netflix
£5.99
£7.49
£8.99

Come on, you know that Apple just swap the $ for £ and leave it at that.

£999 for the 64gb, £1099 for 256gb and £1199 for the 512gb seem the most realistic to me.

256GB £999? So that's £41 per month over 2 years? Excluding carrier charges. If o2 let me pay £200 - £300 upfront then it will be fine. I don't mind spending £50 - £55 a month on a phone. Keen to see what they have available.

I'll stick with my long held prediction of:

£969 for the 64GB
£1069 256GB
£1169 512GB

It's the smaller form factor, than my 7 plus, but with no sacrifice in screen and battery size (?) that tempts me but not sure I'm the best part of £500 tempted in terms of the cost for me to upgrade. The other (rumoured) features ? Not so fussed to be honest.
...these prices are madness!!!

Who's gonna pay over a grand for a phone FFS?!!! MAD PEOPLE - THATS WHO.....!!!

But for future if all models go OLED the price will have to come down. Rumours suggest a 6" phone next year that would cost £1300 then?

I'd say £800 this year and next year the IPhone XS comes down to £699 and replacing the £599 8. iPhone XS 6" maybe £800.

One would imagine OLED costs will come down if Apple have any ambition to replace the whole product range at an affordable price.

Say it was £1000 I think the price would have to drop next year.

I know the guy who wrote the script ... which is kinda freaky ... so will ask if he can take a look. I know he's busy tho, so if he can he can, if he can't he can't.

Just looked at the current prices for O2, based on a 128gb 7+ (£819 for cash, so less than the predicted 64GB X price) and that comes out at £63pm for a 10GB data, Unltd text/mins - so I can safely say there's no way I'd pay that, or any more. I'm paying £40pm for the 6S+ now, with that same tarriff

I still don't get how wireless charging works.

I'd say it was more likely that they'll freeze any prices for next year rather than lower any.

I'm on the Apple Upgrade, and seriously hope that I can pre-order on pre-order day. If not, I think I'll go back on O2 contract

I'm on the apple upgrade too. Trying to work out if i'd be better selling my absolutely perfect condition 7+ and carrying on paying until the 18 months is up, and then starting afresh. I'm still on my £13 all you can use data/texts plan from Three and not in any rush to relinquish that.

Only way I would pay ~£1000 for the iPhone X is if it comes with 256gb storage at under £1000. If they charge that much for 64gb I'm out.

His point is that the iPhone 7 costs £600 and the 7+ costs £719. Logically when apple launch a larger version of the iPhone X it will be similarly more expensive. If they freeze the price of the X then what will the plus size of the X cost.

More? I assumed that would be a given.

Just like you can buy a regular iPad or iPad Pro, people will now have the option of getting the regular iPhone or the full screen OLED version.

Sheeesh - things are getting out of hand

I always though the costs of tariffs would come down over time, as data became more common - like it used to cost a fortune for calls but now they just throw unlimited at us - but it doesn't look like that's ever happening

Yes exactly.

I know Apple don't tend to lower prices but they do put tech into cheaper devices like the SE and IPad 2017.

OLED is bound to become standard eventually. Perhaps in 2018 the 8 plus will get phased out but an LCD version would have to stay around.

I read a rumour Apple wanted alll there products OLED anyway so they can't all be cheap maybe they will put lesser chips and cameras and no face ID in cheaper OLED devices in the future.

But eventually I see all models going OLED cheaper iOS devices and more expensive. Android have had OLED for years.
