Of course. If you search the forums for UK reserve in-store (or along those lines), there was an option to check stock in-store at 6am every morning, and if there were any you could reserve one and walk in that day. I think it was for the iUP customers, but you could just walk in and say you'd like to pay in full and they'd honour it.

EDIT: Link was similar to above post

This is what I done on the 6s Plus. Really hope this is available this time round.

Sheeesh - things are getting out of hand

I always though the costs of tariffs would come down over time, as data became more common - like it used to cost a fortune for calls but now they just throw unlimited at us - but it doesn't look like that's ever happening
To be honest no one makes phone calls or text all done on imessage or whatsapp.
I'm on three uk with (3 contracts all sim only) paying contract one £9 with 4gb data unlimited text and minutes.
contract two £9 with 4gb data unlimited text and minutes.
contract three £22 with unlimited data 200 minutes and unlimited text.

Best thing to do is purchase the phone sim free from apple join a SIM ONLY deal with nice data allowance.

Android have had OLED for years.

I wish people would stop lumping android and manufacturers together. Android is an operating system, it doesn't have a screen, the handset does

Not a dig at you, sorry, it's just something I've seen written about ten times today (Qualcomm I'm looking at you)

Come on, you know that Apple just swap the $ for £ and leave it at that.

£999 for the 64gb, £1099 for 256gb and £1199 for the 512gb seem the most realistic to me.

+1

...these prices are madness!!!

Who's gonna pay over a grand for a phone FFS?!!! MAD PEOPLE - THATS WHO.....!!!

the same guy who paid 14% APR when you could have gone IUP? :D

only teasing :)

Just called my local store ... chap was vague, but was quite adamant that on pre-order day, people on iUP will be able to pre-order/reserve online or by calling the store, for in-store processing of the iUP.

I know the guy who wrote the script ... which is kinda freaky ... so will ask if he can take a look. I know he's busy tho, so if he can he can, if he can't he can't.
the script itself is fine, the issue is apple are not currently exposing the data on stock publicly any more.. it will probably be once the in-store reservation goes live we will be able to see what info can be got at..

i've got a couple of version ready in javascript and also a little script which sent a push notification when the order status changed on the orders :D

will share them once I get a chance to make sure they work this year

Only way I would pay ~£1000 for the iPhone X is if it comes with 256gb storage at under £1000. If they charge that much for 64gb I'm out.

I hope that they start at 128GB on the X at £999, then 256Gb and 512GB.. if the increments are 100 i might go for the 256

But if all IOS devices become OLED by 2020 just say the price would have to drop. Can't see a £600 IPod and a £900 iPad.
by that time production would be well matured and available in quantity, all driving down the costs

I won't be getting one if the 128GB is over £950, it should be starting at that GB and only the 8 should get 64GB.

I will be getting pixel XL 2 I guess if not, i'm on O2 sim only at £19 a month with 10GB data so going sim free this year.

Unfortunately I do expect the entry iPhone X to be £999. When I bought my MBP it was £1749 and $1799 in the US.
£1749 in dollars is $2322 D:

shocking... I'd never sign a mobile contract again.. happy to stick with with my all you can eat £19 a month on Three
You better keep that package running prices just gone up on three uk website they are now charging £34 for all u can eat data sim only.

The iPhone 6.

not even tempted for the + size?

for me there's just not enough difference between the 6, 7 and supposed 8. I moved from a 6s to a 7+ and happy i finally got use to the size! (tried the plus on the 6 and 6s but just never got use to it). i think I forced myself to stick with the plus size knowing the larger screen phones were coming this year.. and happy to see the 'square footage' of the phone is reducing.. my poor hand can return to some normality.

...I can see Apple announcing the iPhone X tonight and then going on to say, "....will be available later in the year or next year"!!!

iPhone 8 will be announced tonight, ready for pre-order next week or so but can't see them releasing the X as well as it will take the shine off the standard '8' versions (they'll release an iPhone 8, an 8S and an 8+). You mark my words - you heard it here first!!!!

I don't like the plus, it's just to big and bulky for me. I've been happy enough with my 6 but the battery life is starting to get worse so I've held on until now to take advantage of the updates.

I think if there is a delay with the 'X', then it won't be a week, it will be something substantial like a month or two. Remember when cellular iPad minis were delayed from October to November.

at least you should be able to pre-order and get your choice on release day!
