Regarding the front page story - the UK press release has now gone out with the same wording. So in-store walk-in availability is for the UK as well, not just the US.

I have the 3rd off work, so if my pre-orders on the 27th go awry it’s straight to Regent Street after work on Thursday with a folding chair and a thermos of coffee...

Interesting story about in store stock. Wonder if they get rid of in store pickup because of this. I was under the assumption that in store pickup replaced walk-ins in the last couple of years. Don’t think I could face queuing. Then again queing through the night while playing Mario Odyssey on my Switch might be kinda fun ;)

Couple of questions when is blue water open again.

An how does queueing at Bromley work? Is the shopping centre open all night or do people queue outside the shopping centre

too many wireless chargers to choose from on Amazon, however only a few "fast" ones...i'd have a look after pre-order on Friday

What a EE customer got when asking about the 256GB prices

LMFAO £92.99/month

Kind of what was expecting for a low up front cost

Might as well do the £87 a month and pay abit more upfront

I think all carriers will be around £80 for the 256GB model
At those sort of prices, why wouldn't people just get the upgrade programme and get a SIM-only contract? At least the carriers can be trusted to deliver SIM cards in a timely fashion. :p

Well via upgrade program at £63 per month

With the current EE offer which runs out today it’s £26 a month for £25GB of data so really it’s actually more expensive doing it that way than on contract

If that tariff is right then you’re paying £2 less with 75GB of data more

The Upgrade Programme is 20 months and you get AppleCare+, the EE contract is 24 months and you don't get AppleCare+!

Right I think I have got everything ready for Friday.

1) Setup HSBC for apple pay as the primary payment method
2) Cancelled the EE sim and sticking with Vodafone
3) Added both the black and white iPhone 10 as favourites on the Apple Store app
4) On pre-order day tap favourites then SG then tap Apple Pay.

The final plan after changing my mind so many times is to buy the phone out right using Apple Play through my iPad.

As this is the first time I have tried this is what I want to do possible and will it work ok?

No branding whatsoever and will more than likely be locked to Vodafone. And just try and get the pre-order done as fast as you can really no magic or secrets, just click like crazy and don't delay.

Ah cool, so you recommend the website not calling them? What about the vodafone app?

The EE contract is for annual upgrade as well. It’s why the tariffs are so high

Apple care is good when it’s included in IUP but can’t say I’ve ever needed it

P.S I would use the Apple Store App, always better than the website

Well here's one comparison:
  • Upgrade Programme: £63.95 x 20 + £69 upfront = £1,348. Add on a 20GB EE SIM at £21/month = £1,852 for 24 months. Subtract AppleCare+ to compare with EE and it's £1,653
  • EE: £82.99 x 24 + £129.99 upfront = £2,121.75!
EE are just chucking on loads of data on their handset plans to try to make it seem more reasonable. In reality it's a complete rip-off. If you wanted 100GB of data anyway, you would be looking towards a Three or Giffgaff unlimited plan, surely!

Anybody else worried about oversleeping on Friday? Ha
A million alarms will be set! (Especially as I'm on week off at work too) I will do everything to make sure its another successful launch phone for me

I'm using this one for my 8, it may not be real fast charging but it works fine for me.

Does anyone know if it will work through the Apple Silicon cases?

While I agree overall it will cost more. However per month which is how people view things instead of the overall cost it’s the same or less with more data.

I want LTE for the Apple Watch which is A big reason for going with EE in the first place and I want an annual upgrade.

I will order with IUP and EE and see what comes first. Who knows I may get it with EE on launch day if I’m one of the first..history says that’s very unlikely but will see

I'm kinda worried about how long it'll take to join the iUP programme on Friday, I need this phone!!
