If Apple don’t have white box stock, exchanges would be retail units, again irrespective of where it’s from. Apple always have a separate stock for Genius Bar exchanges.
I’m sorry, but no it wouldn’t be. It would be ordered in on a 1-3 day basis. They do have a small amount of separate retail stock, but this is for DOA retail units sold through Apple stores.

Your card is charged before it ships, so let's say you get Friday Nov 3rd delivery, then it will most likely get charged on Nov 2nd on Thursday, so one day before, but could be two days before as well.
Oh and just to double check. This still works if I use Apple Pay?

Is this the quickest way into the IUP using the app?

1) Add to favourites the model you want

2) when store opens click accounts
3) click on your favourite
4) click on the learn more button for IUP at the top

5) carry on with IUP

Roll on Friday morning when we will all be posting screenshots of email headers to see who got the earliest order! :p

Hopefully there's enough to go round for at least a few minutes otherwise this place is going to be really sour...

good to hear apple actually give you the option to check k trade in price first!

if people do consider option 2 then I'd strongly advise you do your homework as Apple's trade in prices are not the most competitive on the market.. you could get a better price else where.

I wonder what would happen if you went for option 2 and rejected their trade up price and took your old phone away to sell to envirophone or whoever. Would you be able to take out a new iUP loan?

My process is open the app > Account > scroll down to My Devices > hit Check upgrade eligibility (see screenshot) > reserve.

Apple wouldn’t stop you but Barclay might depending on their rules. Whilst you might pass a credit check, they might not let two IUPs run concurrently. Then again they might not care how many IUPs you have running as long as you’re deemed to pass their checks.

Yeah I think I won't be posting here if I don't get on order, will be too bitter!

Hopefully it'll all be fine and the expectations will be completely wrong. We can hope right?!

I see MR are documenting these secrets in their homepage now :(
To be fair it's still a minority... Angela said that half of orders at midnight come through the Apple Store app - she was saying it like it was a big number but I'm thinking "half of people don't know that you need to use the app to stand any chance?"!

I've heard a few people saying you can't buy an unlocked X from the Apple store (online) for a 3-4 weeks? Is this true?

I just want to pre order the £1k iPhone X and pop my Vodafone pay as you go sim into it.

No one knows what availability will be like come Friday. If you want any chance of release day stock you want to be one of the first who pre order

UK Phones are SIM free, it’s the US ones which are tied to a carrier, they don’t get SIM free from day 1

All phones from Apple are unlocked

Just checked the Ts and Cs on the website and it says ‘enrolment limits may apply’. Suppose my other option is to settle within the next week, and then when they check my options in-store it will show as paid up.
