Nice, I may look into reserving one via iUP and then buying it outright, but I don't want to spend £10 on a 1.5 hour coach ride to London + £2-3 on Tube to visit the Apple Store in London (as there is no Apple Store in Oxford), only to be told I can't buy it outright and have to get it on iUP, so I am looking for confirmation. If you say Regent Street did that for you, then I'll try getting one from there.
I've not heard anyone having trouble doing it last year. Indeed the FAQ page specifically said it was possible! In fact, look at this, I've just found the screenshot I took last year... :p

It could be different this year though.

I've been trying to get pre-approved for my IUP pre-order for the X, but its greyed out for some reason? Or is getting pre-approved U.S. only?

They will probably add the iPhone x. My query is that if they do; will reservation be at 6am or 8am?

Yes taking a second look at the link it will probably be added to.

Pre orders start at 8.01.

That is why I’m still a little unsure that this link will work for this ore order week. This is usually the point you go to the Saturday after the launch (4th Nov) to check every morning if a particular store has stock. I’ve never used this as an entry to pre order

I have decided I will be ordering with EE from 8.01am and getting the apple watch series 3 in that same order. The sim only prices are too expensive to go via IUP and sim only for EE

I’m honestly starting to feel nervous for tomorrow morning!

I work 40 miles from home, so I’ll be getting a super early train (may even drive) to ensure that I arrive to work at 7:30am. I plan to use my iPhone on 4G and my iPad on WiFi to access the Apple store app and just hope it goes well!!

Thought about using my work PC aswell but I don’t think the Apple website has ever been quicker than the app so I’ll probably give that a miss.

Just over 24 hours to go!

Is it not worth holding out for a better EE sim only price?

EE pay as you go is currently a better deal than their 12 month sim only, £15 gets you £5.

I’ll be getting a Three sim -it’s about £14 for 8GB on a 1 month contract, until EE release new sim only deals.

Can't see there being any better deals anytime soon. Wouldn't be smart from a business standpoint for them to do that. With the likely EE tarrif you will get 100GB of data so data won't be an issue and I still get the annual upgrade with EE which is what I want. Would go pay as you go but I want that apple watch option to use without a phone when going gym for example.

Yeah annual upgrade so next year I would need to take it in store and pre order at way and hand the old one back when my new one is due to collect

Just means you’ll be stuck with EE until you see out a full 24 months at some point.

I’m waiting for the Black Friday deals at the end of the month. It’s quite likely we won’t even have the phones by then.

What about pre ordering from Apple and seeing how EE stock is? You always have 14 days for an Apple refund if EE gets stock. That way you might be able to drag it out until Black Friday and if any deals turn up?

Went to my local John Lewis yesterday and they said they're getting no in store stock of the X. The guy looked on his computer to see what was held centrally and he said 700 for each capacity in each colour (I.e 2800 total). Gonna be a nightmare to get one of these I think - tomorrow we will find out!

I'm happy to stick with EE due to the annual upgrade and the overall speeds. Plus the watch connectivity. I may still order through IUP after I get my EE order sorted just as a back-up but I feel if i order bang on 8.01am then there's a good chance i will get it on launch day certainly if the tarrif prices are going to be super high. Maybe more people are less likely to order the x with the prices.

Do John Lewis release stock on preorder day? I don’t remember seeing any 8’s until launch day
