iPhone Apple Store App came up first for me, about 8.06 (confirmation email 8:07), website a minute later. Oddly, the iPad Apple Store App is still down (for me at least)
Snagged a black 64gb for delivery on 3rd.
Didn’t get in until 8:05 and was surprised to get the launch day delivery!
Of note, the app on my iPad Pro went live first, followed by my phone...the website was still patchy even a few seconds ago.

Wow, well that was more of a task than it is usually.... nothing was coming back up for me... Safari came back before the Apple Store App... Didn't manage to order until 08:14. Straight to 2-3 weeks delivery.
One one hand I'm annoyed... but on the other hand it's gone to 4-5 weeks now, so all it not lost!

Neither the app or website properly worked for me. App still not working now, site started to load at 8:13am but 3-4 weeks delivery on every model.
at 8:03am i managed to reserve the silver 256gb for IUP pickup on release day at my local store. Last time i was declined they let me buy it outright, so hoping its the case this time around too. such a mess

Thrilled - got a iPX 256Gb in space grey as an IUP upgrade from my JB iP7. Pickup at 9am in Edinburgh Apple Store...
I also bought a iPX 256GB in silver outright also for collection next Friday for my wife. I have the option as to which one I chose as mine...

I managed to get the app on my iPhone to load the store at about 8:04 so managed to order a Space Grey 256 model for delivery on 3rd Nov The iPad still wasn't loading the store five mins later... Perhaps Apple were managing the traffic by only letting a few in the store at a time?

Lukily 20 mins before the time, I had an important email to reply and then I switched to Macbook to answer the mail.
Then, I tried the app but it does not work so I went with Safari around 8.03. Here I go.

App started working at 8:04 and is working fine since then I don't understand why some people say they are having problem with it.
I successfully placed my order at 8:4 (kept closing/reloading the app from 8:01 until it went live at 8:04).

so do I stick with my combo of Sim free CPW which may arrive 3rd Nov (pick up 4th at my local store) + Apple preorder 2-3 weeks?
Or do I look at a contract? Vodafone I should get 15% off as I have a line with my wife so that would be ok-ish - about £22 per month for 26GB once you take off the cost of the phone. Carphone also have plans which are basically sim free - £20 a month for 20GB (VF standard sim only price) with £950 upfront. In that case I'd be able to use my extra £25 deposit so would make the phone £925 sim free which isn't bad

Really sucks. Not only was the store delayed for me by about 8 minutes, the app ended up behind the desktop site, which I wasn't prepped for. So I had to fiddle with my serial and IMEI number (which, yes, is definitely my fault for not thinking about in hindsight). Then on top of it I went for the Brighton store which is a portion of the size of Regent Street store, so all of those puddles of poo came together to form a cluster bomb of a delay. 2nd December :-((
