Doing my annual check in to this thread. I managed to get into the app store at around 8:04, and bagged a 256gb Silver for delivery next Friday. Also managed to get a second for my sister a minute later for Friday delivery too. My email confirmations were sent at 8:04 and 8:05.
This was fairly early for me, some years I have not gone on until 8:20 but still managed to get release day. In this case it seems like a few minutes later it had already slipped to 4-5 weeks. I think my colour choice this year helped too.

The store didn't come up for me until 08:10. By which time all stock was sold out.

Luckily I bookmarked a direct link to the reservation page so I reserved in store at 08:01!

Ok so this was crazy, ordered from Apple and got my 3rd november due date (and yes this will be my baby for the next year until Apple screw us over with another £1000+ phone) but for a good minute or two my billing address and card address were incorrect! fixed it the night before but kept faffing about with it! Long story short, erm yeah i somehow managed to preorder 4 iPhone X's in total! One from apple, two from argos and one from CPW although i am a bit skeptical about the CPW one.

Bit annoyed that it wouldn't let me make a reservation to join the IUP but I got the 256GB silver X for in store pickup in Glasgow next Friday through the website. The app didn't get past the store closed page for me this time.

Noticed that in the time it took me to change the default card in Apple Pay to the one I wanted to use, my pick-up time slipped three hours.

Does anyone know if I'd be able to return the handset and join the IUP in store next friday?

Didn't manage to get a successful reservation until 8:12, my AUP is due 2nd of December

Well, that was painful. App on iPhone over 4G didn’t come up until 8:08, with date for iUP already at “arrives by 18 November”. Sailed through until the last stage, where it wouldn’t let me lock in a collection time. By the time I got my reservation to complete, dates had slipped to “arrives by 2 December”. Confirmation email at 8:16.

Here’s hoping that Edinburgh gets a batch of stock for iUP sooner than that

App started working at 8:04 and is working fine since then I don't understand why some people say they are having problem with it.
I successfully placed my order at 8:4 (kept closing/reloading the app from 8:01 until it went live at 8:04).

Got my order confirmed email at 08:03. Delivers November 3rd. Only issue is I have an old address as delivery so now I need to keep refreshing my order page until it's moved from "Order Placed" to "Processing" so I can change the delivery address!

Managed to get the confirmation at 8.12 for 2-3wks delivery which is the normal shipping timelines for previous pre-orders. Any shipping times beyond that am out. Took a while for the site to come up though!

Finally; done, signed, sealed yet to be delivered 64GB Silver

My email states 3rd November.

Is there any way to confirm this on their servers?

OK, so I have my email confirmation, paid by Apple Pay. 10 mins later, my barclaycard notification pops up on the phone saying the transaction was declined.

Rang barclaycard to ask whats up, they said my card was fine. Will have to give apple a ring later to see if it was just a glitch. I have a launch day delivery, so I don't want to miss out because of an Apple Pay screwup.

Even though it was on the hotel wi-fi I was in and done within a minute and got my confirmation email by 10:02 (08:02 UK time). 256 SG delivery on the 3rd! So chuffed! Had problems with the app not opening up to the store the past couple of years, so glad it went without a hitch this year

Got my order in for 3rd November, just been told it got declined even though there's more than enough funds and I rang the bank yesterday to let them know a big purchase will be made.

Now shipping is 4-5 weeks

iPhone Apple Store app went live at 8.02, email received at 8.02 as well.
As I left to work at 8.10, iPad Apple Store app and via Safari on my Mac we’re both still down... strange.

Exactly the same experience here. Just a bad experience. By the time I had gotten to the reservations page it said I could get one for the 11th Nov, but I couldn't lock it in and by the time I did, it finalized at the 2nd of Dec.
