I ended up ordering 2 one on my debit and then one on my credit card as I couldn’t get it to go through on my credit card at first. The orders are 7 mins apart but both have a delivery date of 13-20 Nov. If I cancel the first order which is on my debit card, would it make a difference to when I get the phone as both have the same delivery dates.

I’m concerned as the orders were a few minutes apart so the later one is done the queue a bit.

Am I the only one thinking that if everyone ordered the amount of iPhones they needed then the perceived stock problems wouldn't be so bad? Maybe this is a (slight) exaggeration, but it feels like people have ordered from every possible phone network possible as well as through both methods of Apple :O

Can anyone explain how the IUP worked this year for them please? Was it still a mad rush like this morning buying outright?

Do you have to go through a few more clicks to chose what you want for the IUP, and then it has to be a store pickup? you can't get delivery? what if a store near you hasn't got stock, but a buying outright would have availability just tough?

If you were giving back your original iPhone, what if its worth more? can you just pay up etc etc?

I managed to get a IUP pickup in a store and a delivery thats all so not sure what to do

thanks
Yeah, wasn't smooth for me, using the app.
Few more clicks/taps to select your phone, then you must choose a store to pick up in, select a date and time and hope you get it.

It was fairly dreadful for me. Was looking to upgrade from my 7+ 128 to SG 256. Had iPhone over 4G, iPad on wifi and store on work laptop all running - first to come up was the app on my phone at 8:08. Got through the upgrade process fairly smoothly up until it came to the point where you have to pick a reservation slot. Then just got stuck in a loop of selecting a time only for it not to register the request. By the time I eventually got the reservation confirmed, dates had slipped to "arrive by 2 December". Confirmation email through at 8:16, by which time the app on my iPad and the web store still hadn't come up.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the reservations page when it comes back up on 4 November to see if I can get an order in for earlier collection.

I agree. I only wanted one and ordered one from 3 which apparently is still showing as being delivered 30th October

Had an absolute nightmare waiting for the app this morning. Managed to place my order about 20 past 8 on the website whilst at my desk at work. Currently waiting on a 4-5 week lead time, so going to cancel and see what else I can do

You have my sympathy as had exactly the same experience.

Did you call and ask Three if they actually be delivering it on the 30th? Because no one else is doing that.

No I haven't rang them. If they send early then great but I'm fully expecting to wait till Friday.

64gb Silver iUP ordered at 08:02hrs, confirmation email arrived at 08:04hrs.
Using the app was a breeze compared to last year and this time it was via the iPad app toggled to my iPhone 7 using 4G connection and not on Wi-fi like last year.

Now the only choice to make is, do I go for an Apple leather case or a Tech21 clear case?????

I have 2x 256gb space grey arriving on nov 3rd.

I ordered one for delivery and one for collection at apple store in Brighton.

I am going to get the collection one @ 9am.

I am planning on returning the delivery one to the apple store as i bought it through my company so if I sold it for profit I’d pay corp tax (also I’m not a d*@k and didn’t buy two to flip on for profit).

I am happy to sell my delivery iPhone X to the first person who PMs me for face value (all they pay is postage or can collect for free from Brighton...)

I will probably get told off for posting this but hopefully someone who sees this will message me before it gets deleted

I AM BEING GENUINE AND NOT TRYING TO SCAM ANYONE.

Was really easy, especially considering it seemed to be working much earlier than the app. Had to do it twice because the first time it tried to auto-launch the apple store app, but even with that minor setback I still got my order reservation confirmed email at 8:04

Managed to get a Space Grey 64GB on the IUP. Got into the app on 4G at 8:01:20 I reckon. My two friends weren't so lucky. One for Monday 6th and one for end of Nov...

I've always bought the leather Apple cases and found them to be very durable. My 6S+ is 2 years old and only has minor dinks in it. My old 6 case is with my dad and is only just starting to properly deteriorate.

I done it on the website, now its not linked to my apple store login, and as I was in such a panic I didn't use the card I wanted. Just spoke to apple and I can amend everything I need to when the order is shipped. Probably looking start of December now

Although I went for the 64gb, which doesn't seem to be the popular option I am hoping this can be expedited through

I ordered the 256GB from EE as soon as their store went live, and then pre-ordered the 256GB for in-store pickup from Apple on the 3rd.

EE delivery has just changed from 'unknown delivery date' to 'expected 3rd November'.

I ordered the 64GB for in store pick-up for my partner, but she has decided to stick with her iPhone 7.

That'll be two Xs going back into stock for in-store pickup in London. :)

You have a PM off of me

Hi guys, I pre-ordered the phone using the app and my order went through at 8.08am for the Silver 64GB model, the app messed up on me as my billing and shipping addresses weren't showing so had to fill those in again, was hoping to pick one up from London next week. The shipping date on my order page states 13th - 20th Nov, so gutted

Ordered at 8am from Carphone. Was in early before anyone else had the same idea. Delivery on the 3rd, but I’m flying to LA from London on the 2nd so I won’t be getting it in hand until the 12th!

Talk about bitter sweet.

Placed order at 08:05 through the app - have an email that says "Processing items" for pickup between 08:30-09:00 on the 3rd. Hope all goes smoothly! 256gb Silver
