I ordered space black 256, @ 08:04 using apple pay, 3rd Nov shipping, then ordered white 256 using apple pay, 13th-20th shipping, for some reason the 1st one has been declined, I need to update the payment terms, but the 2nd order nothing as yet, its still "order in progress?"
when i got the declined message, i quickly order 2 more using my CC instead of apple pay.
i called the bank and they said apple pay is 30-40 limit. plenty of money in the bank.

i'm wondering about the 2nd order, white 256 using apple pay, 13th-20th shipping, so waiting for the email of death " payment of your order could not be completed"

anyone else similar life changing problems

I'm with Santander and I used Apple Pay to pre-order mine (website wasn't up but the app was when i tried) and mine seems to have been fine. I know contactless is £30 but I used Apple Pay to buy my MPB-Touch Bar when that launched and it went through fine, so I'm curious as to how accurate that statement is that your bank gave you.. Anywho hopefully the delivery date on your first order isn't affected.

Does anyone know if I place an order for a case now will it get added to my phone order and potentially delay it?

I’m at preparing for shipment stage and don’t want to add a case if it’ll risk delaying my phone pre order

I ordered my case 30 mins after order the phone yesterday, both are in separate orders with different delivery dates for me

Apple Pay 30-40 limit, as in £? Which bank is that for? It’s surprising how many bank employees themselves don’t know about Apple Pay/contactless purchases above £30 being supported now.

https://www.apple.com/uk/apple-pay/

Did anyone reserve a phone for IUP but not through the IUP portal? That’s what I did and hoping they’ll still upgrade me as normal and not try and make me take out a new IUP.

The wording in the email seems to suggest they will upgrade me.

Just wondered if others were in the same boat.

I'm with HBOS, bank of Scotland, maybe i'll call them again today, they also said I had reached my daily limit yesterday, so i'm going to change the payment method once that's be opened up, I've tried 3 times already, so it must be still locked
I'm in Mongolia and its 15:31 Saturday, I'm also 1,300 metres underground

The Case can be shipped by post, so no Mine had different order numbers and earlier delivery than 3rd Nov

Ok, so they’ve definitely made a mistake with that statement (I work for LBG) and probably confused it with the general contactless card payment limit.

P.s. you have some great cell/WiFi service down that deep!

I ordered the 64GB silver X with EE at 8am yesterday - says 3rd November delivery on my order.

Wish I went with the 256GB version now.... EE website still says 3rd November delivery for this model... hard to believe though after 24 hours.

Just got off a the phone with a higher level EE agent.

They stated that web orders had to be processed manually so even if you got a order email at 8am, it might have not been dealt with until 1pm, therefore no idea of first come first served.

Also only the 64GB silver will be sent on the 3rd, all other models are currently heavily delayed.... apparently all sales staff had notice late yesterday afternoon. Within 21days.....

Does nobody else just use their contents insurance to cover their gadgets then?
I called up and specified £4k worth of stuff we may take out at any one time... premium went up £9 for the year.
Accidental damage, new for old, £100 compulsory excess... job done???

Yeah I checked with JL to make sure we had coverage. Still not entirely sure if it covers accidental damage outside of the home but will double check. Wary about costs and turnaround time though. Never had applecare but might take it this time.

I ordered an iPhone X & a folio case yesterday (on separate orders). Received the email order confirmation for the phone order at 8.09a.m (delivery 13th - 20th Nov) & the confirmation for the case order at 8.13a.m (delivery next week).

Yesterday, when I logged in to my credit card mobile banking app, I could see two separate pending transactions for Apple, one at £99.00 (ie. the case, which is being delivered next week) & a transaction for £0.01, which I figured to be some kind of holding/approval transaction until my phone was ready to ship. This morning, when I log on to my credit card app, there is only one pending transaction for £99.00 ?!? Does anyone have any idea why the pending transaction for the phone would have disappeared? Is this likely to be a good sign (maybe order status about to change?), or should I be concerned? The order status on the Apple site still shows as ‘Order In Progress’ & the delivery date still shows as 13th - 20th Nov.

I also have delivery of 13-20. Apple hasn’t taken anything from my bank at all yet and even my bank say they can’t see anything at all from Apple or anything pending etc and they seem to think it hasn’t gone through.. my orders updated to being processed though and I’m pretty sure it’s gone through with nothing being taken or showing until shipping. I’m with Santander.

Saturday. According to CPW they still have phones available for NOV 3 delivery.
You can’t actually select them any more though if you try and add to bag

Vodafone showing 3 nov for 64GB silver but 2 weeks for 256. Suggests at least some form of inventory awareness? Still not convinced though? (Now watch all four preorders turn up on Friday and I spend my Saturday returning most of them and cancelling contracts)

Edit: on Vodafone

Silver 64GB showing 3rd November
Silver 256GB showing 1-2 weeks
Grey 64GB showing ‘order now to reserve your phone’
Grey 256gb showing estimate delivery from 18 nov
