Anyone have any idea who will deliver the handsets? Or do the couriers vary?

I love DPD personally where you get the 1 hour slot text message. Far less anxiety when you know the window it’s coming in!
DPD will deliver mine. they do all for EE

Reserved Silver 256gb for pickup 8am release day. Supposed to be signing up for IUP but I'll just buy it outright when i get there.

do we have a spreadsheet, tracking all of our purchases, we had one when the watch was launched, and do we have the email of death patented

I pre-ordered a sim-free one in CPW store this morning and choose to collect it in store itself. Now i am doubtful if it will be available to collect on 3rd itself but can i walk in on 3rd nov in same store and take any available iphone X? ANy guesses? Will anyway ask in the store itself tomorrow.

First time I've had the chance to post in here all day! I was at work on my phone trying from 8am, managed to order through the app with confirmation email at 08:10 with 2-3 weeks on dispatch.. I paid by Apple Pay and I've had nothing to say it's been declined but it's not in my wallet as a transaction! On the Apple website, my order has 'Order in Progress' as the status.. not sure if I should message Apple or Halifax just to make sure things are ok?

Anyone else the same or similar?

I bought one with an HSBC Visa card which shows a £1175 transaction in the Apple store and one on my master card Halifax clarity card which shows a transaction of £0.00.
Halifax said they approved the payment to Apple so I’m not panicking yet, I think the payment will come out in the next few weeks and it was just a test.
I’ve got a confirmation email for both orders.

I asked them and they said some of their stores will have stock, but they cannot confirm which ones. I'll call my local store on 2nd Nov to ask if they will be having any stock the next day (3rd Nov) and if they do I'll pick it up

Some of these bank accounts that include mobile insurance, have a £1000 limit on the coverage.

If you’ve bought a 256GB model it’s worth checking your specific account policy.

Yup. Thats what i plan to do too. My local store is a small one so lets see how it goes.

This is a good idea.
I mentioned it earlier today (about 40 pages back!) - but people could put their purchasing details (NB: NOT ORDER REFERENCES, but specification, time of email etc) in their signature so that there can be some information when the dispatching happens later next week...

Boy that’s taken a while to catch up on this thread from this morning. The most interesting take I see is that the reservation link may have been a quicker way in to the store.

I also now put my hand up to not having the foggiest on what makes the App Store appear for some an not others. I didn’t get in until 8.08 and in the 2-3 week window. Second year in a row I’ve been late getting in. 2 macs (2 different browsers (safari and chrome), cache cleared on each refresh), iPad with app and phone with app on 4G. None of the buggers worked!

On a separate note, my silicone case has a delay which means it will probably arrive at the same time as the phone!

On the bright side I get to watch United beat spurs tomorrow (even though it took nearly 8 hours to get from London to Manchester due to issues at Euston)

Day of delays all round

Most likely the initial batch of shipping improvements are because of cancellations being released back into the pool and Apples back-end systems being allowed to reallocate them to people next in line. It's unlikely to be because more stock is arriving: Apple would have known what stock to expect for launch day when pre-orders went live and it wont have changed under a day (especially with China having been asleep for most of the launch aftermath).

If they do start to get better yields in production then that wont hit for another few days.

Cancelled my CPW order

They're a bunch of vile *****, as someone said on here already

They're probably just taking money now for interest but won't ship for a long time regardless of what they said

There whole cancelling system is so ancient and pathetic, you can tell they don't let you go peacefully.

Kept my apple order and can wait for mid Nov.

How did you cancel your CPW order as I need to cancel mine and wait for Apple delivery on the 13th to 20th November
