LOL if it’s all over the website then link to it.

Mine is coming from Apple so no problem but it’s not clear. I agree so far all I’ve seen is word of mouth in here - which may be true but I wouldn’t want to take that risk.

all iPhones activated as of the 30th June from CPW are unlocked

Just cant see the point in waiting 5 weeks for something when ive already been waiting 6 from the keynote! Part of me just thinks ill repair the phone I have and wait til next year
I don't think you'll get the "Anniversary" iPhone next year, as it won't be an anniversary. ;)

Just had a thought.....Apple says my 7 plus is worth £440. I have £355 left on my iup credit agreement.

Is it therefore possible to trade in the 7 plus and start a new iup, essentially giving myself £85 credit. I mean, there is nothing stopping me from selling the phone and then paying the remaining £355 anyway is there? Is this potentially a loophole that can be exploited?
It's not even a loophole - Apple will actively encourage this if they can give you more (And they will for anyone who bought a 7 at launch, because it'll be worth more than than the loan now that you've had it more than a year...)

I've actually gone ahead and paid off the iUP loan today so that it'll have a chance to update everywhere and get marked as settled before the new iUP application on Friday in the hopes it won't look like I'm trying to take out 2 iUPs.

That's one of the questions I have in my IUP thread. Not sure if you HAVE to to keep the agreement or not

What's the process in this then, you literally pay off however many of the original 20 payments you had, and also get AppleCare+! Refunded, then get a brand new IUP

You don't get AppleCare+ refunded, because the phone you've just paid off is now yours, and will still have AppleCare+ on it for the remainder of the 2 years.

In the interim check out iPhone X Torras ultra thin cases on Amazon; absolutely no bulk whatsoever, I have just ordered 2

Have you used them before? Looking at their silicone cases and wondering how they compare to Apple’s.

Sadly won't know if stores are getting stock until a day or so before launch but cab keep an eye out.

Wish I could give a solid answer on this. Computer says 3rd for silver but out internal availability list shows a blank space while SG shows 10th on everything so I would say the SG is accurate

Edit: just checked when I got into work and now the silver is showing internally as 3rd. Going by past launches this is usually pretty accurate

Cheers dude. I would be grateful if you can tell me by 2nd Nov if the Oxford store(s) will have ANY stock, I am looking to buy a 64GB Silver X!

I asked on twitter and they said it definitely wont be locked to the first sim.

The thing about these companies that I don't like is that you always get a different answer depending on who you talk to! Like there's no one consistent answer to some questions.

Our phones are unlocked!

Most of the phones we sell aren't locked to a network, including almost all of our SIM free phones. That means you can put any UK SIM card into your phone and enjoy the benefits of whichever UK network you prefer.

Being unlocked and locking to the first SIM is different. The phone arrives unlocked, so you can put any SIM, no matter which carrier. BUT, after inserting it, it can get locked to that SIM and THEN you can't use any other SIM.

See the difference? You can choose which SIM to insert when you get the phone because it's unlocked, but AFTER you insert and activate the phone, you can no longer insert another SIM.

Anyone getting a new contract or upgrade from o2? My order status just show "in progress" but no delivery date.
Yes, O2 never update that status until its getting ready to ship and you have been allocated a specific phone just before shipping. I've never known give a date.

I ordered from O2 at about 0745 yesterday, don’t even have a confirmation email just have an order number and was told it’d turn up within 24hrs...
I ordered from them at 7.37 (glad I checked early) and had my confirmation email at 7.43. Might be worth calling them

I got the hard back for my 7+ last year & it still going strong . I used the :apple: leather case for a week or so, it just did’nt offer the full protection I needed
