Attention CPW Customers

If you’ve placed an order with them I suggest giving them a call and asking for your “fulfilment date”.

I ordered 8:20 and even though everywhere it says delivery 3rd Nov it’s actually now 10th.

They’ve been absolutely awful, taking money straight away and not informing customers if the delivery date change.

I think the vast majority of people who have ordered through them will be disappointed.

Just a heads up.

Did you get an email telling you this or did you ring up and specifically ask?

The problem is you can’t just rely on these companies, Very were the same last year with iPhone 7 and it was dates being pushed further and further back. I do remember John Lewis seemed to get some stock sporadically though.

I read stuff on twitter and then decided to ring. Spoke to a very helpful guy who went to all the lengths to answer my questions. I trust the guy he seemed to have his head screwed on.

They’re a truly awful company. I made the mistake purchasing an iPhone 5 for launch day and discovered how dirty that company is.

They don’t do anything illegal but their business morals are poor and will never get my business ever again.

It’s gone through according to AmEx.. not just a preauth. (According to my statement it isn’t pending either)

I ordered 2 iPhone X's for in store pickup.

Both paid for via Apple Pay in the app separately using two different cards.

The £999 AMEX order shows in as a pending transaction on my card.
The £1150 HSBC Credit Card order hasn't shown at all, and hasn't come off my available balance. I phone HSBC and they've said there's not even a £0 pre-authorisation from Apple.

Very odd.

Both show as 'Order in progress'.

Thanks. Called and told mine is definitely the 3rd. To be honest a slippage to the 10th I can cope with. Any further than that and I'd be upset.

Aaand here we go. Phone said the 3rd, Twitter support says the 10th. I'm inclined to trust the second source more. As I say, I can cope with a week, although debiting my card two weeks before I'll actually get the phone seems a tad dodgy.

Should have done like me!! I have changed my iPhone 8 Plus every two weeks since they launched. Back to Apple store on Day 14 returned and swapped for a brand new one until preorders for X opened. I made my last swap yesterday and will take this 8 Plus back next week for a full refund.

Is it any wonder Apple has to charge such high prices for their devices with people using the generous return policy in this way?

Not to mention that it’s thanks to people like this that companies end up changing decent return policies and ruin it for everyone else.

Times that over all the people round the world and thats a lot of money Apple is wasting.

You know we are in a terribly spoilt world when people are changing out phones every two weeks!!

Don’t ask for a delivery date, ask for a fulfilment date.

Damn man, you’re the guy who gets enough free samples to skip lunch...

I rang vodafone for clarity on their stock and delivery dates and they said the following:

Silver 64GB: 3rd November
Space Grey 64GB: 4th-10th November
Silver 256GB: 4th-10th November
Space Grey 256GB: 18th November

Agreed. What I don't understand is why Apple permits serial returners to do this. I understand the first return being no questions asked, but if someone repeatedly returns and re-buys does that person at any point get flagged?

Yup. That's now the 10th. Sigh... I can cope with that, it's still better than what Apple was offering but I'm mostly peeved that they charged my Amex the second I placed the order.

Also, it's just such a faff? To have a new phone for four weeks you've started over from scratch, restored all your backups etc. twice?

I spoke to an Apple Employee ins tore about this and they say people even do it with Mac Book Pro's and they are aware of it, it came across they thought it was a great idea lol!

That’s a disgusting way to use the return policy. I genuinely hope they block you from doing that ever again.

It’s people like you who ruin it for others.

Which model have you ordered? A bit of reading seems to show that their silvers are on track for the 3rd and their SG’s for the 10th

They cancelled my order on Friday afternoon they're excuse was 'Our system did take through the billing address when it processed the order' i told him i could give it to him then, he told me ' No can do sorry ive now cancelled your order.' then hung up.

Incompetent company.

There's actually loads on Amazon like this. Just search liquid silicone. They mostly seem exactly the same even pictures are the same. I've ordered one as it was prime but next day, whereas some are prime but expedited which means could take a while.

They are probably all from the same factory and just different sellers I would think.

If they are decent think I'll order another in a different colour, was going to get the Apple silicone but if ok then can have 3 for same price of 1 Apple.

Think it's definitely advisable to get the cut out on the bottom though, be careful some don't have this but pictures should show this
