Repurchase right there? That’s what I mean - will they refund it and then repurchase the same phone?

The employee might let you do that, or might warn that it’ll go back to the stock allocation pool, which you can’t repurchase from until it has been released as an item again (in other words, wait it out)

Ordered about 10am tried with app And website, then payment and my delivery is expected 5-6 weeks
4-11.12 :/
Looks like most of you guys here will have it earlier so will be checking on pics before I got mine and be envy lol!
My first preorder and I hope I won’t regret ordering it without seeing it in store as before I always was going to store to make my decision lol.

Hey everyone I've followed this thread from the start as I do every year. Great source of information and help when I had trouble with apple pay on the 27th so thanks very much for that!
Now all that fuss has calmed down I'm thinking about what apps and games I should pre download and purchase ready to show off my X on the 3rd? Any thoughts? I tried a google search for iPhone X optimised app's but found nothing? I don't wanna get it on Friday and be bummed out coz nothing looks as good as on my 7+
Anyone else had similar thoughts?
 
TBH any app written recently that supports dynamic size classes for different sized displays should work fine.

I didn’t do IUP last year I took the iPhone payment plan (which is slightly different - 0%, no AppleCare and no upgrade option. I have preordered the phone and paid in full on 0% cc (as couldn’t get a reservation slot before they all went). So just going to pay off the 7+ Finance and put the £130 or so remainder straight towards the X balance.

I don’t see why not but you would need to check to see what exclusions there are for what you can use it for.

The £440 was for a 256gb 7+ not the 128!

I have had an issue with this before and Apple Pay where it uses different numbers rather than your payment information. I called them and was told that Apple Pay creates different numbers as I was worried they had my wrong payment details.

This year it hasn’t been an issue because my card doesn’t support Apple Pay yet.

Can I ask why all the effort if you were never going to keep an 8? Is it just so you can have the latest and greatest?

So I got screwed by the app on IUP and got a date of 2nd December.

Also tried reservations link but Vodafone content lock stopped me texting my code to confirm.

Apple customer services understandably useless.

How much stock for walk in customers will there be? What time would I need to queue? Will I be able to upgrade on IUP in person on launch day despite my existing reservation for 2nd Dec?

Apple said there’ll be stock on launch in store but I can’t see there being hundreds of them in each variety. I honestly think you’d have to queue from the previous evening to stand a chance.

If you queue and get stock, you can sign up to IUP and if successful cancel your current reservation

Has anyone tried Carphone Warehouse to trade in a phone? Offering £400 for my iPhone 7+ 128GB. No faff of having to pack it and pay for special delivery to Music magpie.

No thanks on my side needed. This thread is here every year.. I just started is as I was getting impatient for the phones this year :)
