No email from them?

Got the initial order one straight away, then another one around two hours later confirming they had taken payment and everything was as it should be.

What time did you order with CPW?

I ordered 07.55 and I am still being told 3rd over the phone and via Twitter (having given then my order number)

This whole reason of confusion is why I’m not cancelling my Apple 2-3 week delivery order.

Around 09:55.

Had an order with Apple for 13th - 20th but being my first time I didn't know who would take the money first. Figured even if CPW was a little delayed, it would still be quicker than waiting for Apple.

Also, is there anyone else on here that reserved for pick up (but hasn’t paid), I.e for iUP?

I did it through the reserve page rather than through my upgrade option on my account.

But got the reserve page up at 8.01 and my confirmation of my reservation at 8.01!

Thanks, when you say ‘you’ll get the equivalent of whatever is left on your loan’, what do you mean? I’m sorry I’m probably not thinking straight, it’s been a long old week!
So, in my case, I had £311 left on the iUP Loan, but Apple's trade up price was/is £380 at the moment.

So, if I do the iUP upgrade, Apple will take the phone, pay off the £311, and start a new iUP agreement.

Alternatively, I could take the £380 into my bank and start a new iUP agreement, then pay off the £311 myself - meaning I'd be £69 better off.

Thanks. I guess losing out on the ‘profit’ is for ease of having Apple sort everything for me! Shame they can’t give me instore credit for the difference! might ask anyway.

Thanks again.

So my bank have just declined payment and so I receive a text off of them detailing 3 transactions from Apple. One for £999 and the other 2 for £0.00. I replied saying they were genuine transactions and went on my order page to update. Any idea what the £0.00 transactions are?

Auth transactions maybe.. usually 1.00

Update:

After reading the text again it was for £.00 and it was approved on the day of pre order. Only today did they decline the £999. Logged into my Apple page to confirm it was actually my order since it's the 29th and it was.

I’ve got an offer of £605 for my IPhone 8 Plus from O2 Recycle. I got 10% more using the code 10MORE for anyone that wants to try it.

I think that’s a very good price. Obviously £799 retail price. But if be lucky to sell it locked for £700 on eBay and by the time you add fees it’s probably around the £600 mark. Except the hassle of potential times wasters as well.

What you guys think?

Envirofone offered me £685 after using EXTRA5 code 8+ 256gb mind, not sure what yours is?

Bingo, the LBG group apps (Lloyd’s, bos and Halifax) will all have the update to support it.

The change itself is minor, just needed internal bank sign offs etc

Just seen the update. Good news, I was wondering when they would support FaceID. Roll on Friday :D

I did, but got onto the page late. My pickup date is "by December 3rd" -_- I'm secretly hoping that Apple bump that up significantly so I'm not completely out of sync with my original upgrade date.

Carphone warehouse now taken two payments from me - £999 for the sim free order, and £914 for the £20 sim only contract.

Mine is 64GB so retail is £799 - your 256GB retails at £949 - so I would say my offer from O2 was better! But that’s the most any online site buying phones will give me for my phone. Don’t get me wrong I would prefer it went to someone who was going to use it as a phone...

Who knows what O2 recycle will do with a 1 month old phone... but it terms of ease and value it seems better than Ebay.

Payment just been declined by my bank for in-store collection on 3rd. Think I’ve reauthorised it and requested them to use the same card again.
Payment seems to have been taken so hopefully that’s everything sorted for Friday!

So I have two orders - one has been charged the other was declined. I only need one, so I am just going to keep an eye on it as the store deliveries are clearly already to store - they can’t be coming from china :p

Woohoo!

I don’t think you can do a pre-auth with Apple Pay, so I paid £999 on Friday

Same thing just happened to me. Went on the Apple site & it appears to have been approved this time (at least Wallet says it's approved)

On the phone to my bank. Those idiots are useless.

Didn’t get a wallet notification, but it’s in the app. It looks like they tried twice to take it and was declined twice, but now approved in wallet, same as yours.
Let me know what they say about whether it’s gone through.

Just got £595 from )@ Recycle for the same phone as you , but with the 10% thats the best offer around at the moment. Thanks !

Just called Carphone and he confirmed delivery as the 3rd, I asked him about the fulfillment date and he didn’t have a clue what I was talking about but he said they had a spreadsheet and checked that and also confirmed again I was getting a store delivery for the 3rd.
