Despite making my Three upgrade at 7:44 AM and being given delivery of 30th and then tomorrow, rang again as no email and they are now telling me 10th Nov.

Got myself £50 credit and £2 off per month as an apology for giving me the wrong dates but pretty annoying... but oh well

Received a phone call from ee store this afternoon.... my iPhone X ready to collect tomorrow!!!! Was originally by the 10th.. wasn’t expectig this! So happy....

Is someone here going to queue tomorrow in the apple store brent cross?? Was thinking of just buying from apple store and cancel my ee one as monthly contract is too much...

All stores will have a que, maybe if you get there around 5ish you should be able to grab one? The john lewis there might get aswell.

I’ll be keeping an eye in store reservations until the phone goes PFD. Once it does that I can still be up to a week before it makes its way from China

Previous DPD deliveries have been around 11-1pm in the past for me for other deliveries, is it custom for it to be different for iPhone days? Could it be as late as 6 or 7? I might cry.

Just weird I preordered 7:44 AM before most on here so realistically I should be guaranteed friday, but nope.

There has to be an issue with your order somehow being put through before pre-orders begun. Three’s Systems fault of course but another user has the same issue so it must be linked.

Nothing worse than the dreaded ‘you are delivery 136’ and ‘driver on stop 2 of 137’ and you follow him on the map and he seems to drive past your road 2 or 3 times to just tease you.

You also get worried when he seems to spend 50 minutes at stop 49

That is weird. Thats the model I went for, and I didn't order until an hour later.

Of course, you could still get a delivery tomorrow. You know what these companies are like - the guys on the phone don't always know the full picture. If you do, I'd still take your credit though

Yeah, I often wonder with these pre-pre-order things, if you end up just being on a printout of orders which some operator keys in once the actual pre-order starts. I'm sure it's more high-tech than that, but it's often crossed my mind.

Carphone started preorders early too. Think I had mine in around 7:45

So if my backup is 11.1 and new phone is 11.03, what is the way around this when setting up? Will my X prompt me to update iOS as part of the process or will I have to set up as new then update the software then restore? Sorry if this has been asked.

Well after being repeatedly told by Three that I wouldn’t receive my phone until the 10th November. I just got my confirmation through for delivery tomorrow.
Also managed to upgrade to an earlier delivery time.

yay! just received my confirmation by 3 of the delivery tomorrow. Oddly, a differently worded email to the previous guy who received confirmation but I don't care really...

My first confirmation about delivery tomorrow was from 3online.support@unipart.com at 19:25

For whatever reason, even though Preston is miles and miles closer to me, my parcels from DPD always end up in Liverpool... which is where my phone is on its way to now

iUP reservations re-open on Saturday.

Will all of those reserving from Saturday onwards definitely be at the back of the UK in comparison to those already in line? I find it hard to believe people will be actively reserving with dates deep in December.

Since its down to a 3-4 week wait on the Apple store I'm tempted to order there while keep a look out on the reserve and pick up option.

Do Apple take the money right away once I hit the order button or on dispatch, I'm sure its been mentioned but its probably 150 pages ago Just dont want a grand coming out of my account in case I manage to get one on Reserve & Pick Up

Ok so three possible answers to this

If you order for delivery then money is taken at Preparing For Despatch, probably a week before shipping depending when and where being despatched from.

If you order for reserve and collect you pay instore.

If you order through app for store pickup you pay in the app.

A previous poster seemed to think since ios10 that it would be detected that the new phone had a lesser version and would be updated during the process?

I have literally just downgraded my iPhone to iOS 11.1 for this exact reason. Didn't want to risk losing everything and not being able to set up my phone from a backup from iOS 11.2b1
