It may well ask but because I am mainly on beta software mine will never work without the profile.
You will have better control of the process doing it before restoring the backup also give you time to have a mess around before putting it back on

I’ve had it on since release so won’t now be able to restore back into 11.1. Also my watch is updated to 4.2 so won’t be able to pair it back.

I am pretty sure beta1 will be available for the X because the bug fixes listed refer to the X.

In the past each day it just shows availability for that day, so you have to check each day 0600 onwards.

I got the first confirmation email from different email address unipart.com not three.co.uk probably three forward my email to their logistic company unipart.com
Could anybody try to email directly to with order confirmation number.

I hope it is helps to another waiting customers who didn't get confirmation about delivery for tomorrow.
 
Anyone going to a Carphone Warehouse store tomorrow to pick up their X? I am referring to those of you who haven't ordered an X from them and are walking into a store first thing tomorrow to get an unit. Any idea about in-store stock availability for walk in customers?

Will be interesting to see. The stock that usually comes up on the reservation page is for pick up that (or the next) day and not something you can reserve for the future.
 
Tried to get mine in the EE store after I got an email saying it had been delivered. They told me it was an “error” :(

I dont think Carphone Warehouse will get stock for walk-in, well thats what I understood from customer service online. Im not 100% sure but no harm in trying.

Meaning each day 100s of people will beat those who made an effort to reserve early.

Tempted to cancel my December date and take my chances.

I’ve been disappointed by this process

Got mine arriving tomorrow having ordered through Sky. Hoping to be one of the last deliveries as I don’t finish work until 5.30. Knowing it’s sat at home while I’m at work would be torture!!

They delivered my s3 Apple Watch and whilst my heart sunk at the initial slot in the delay very queue - was something like 150 it moved quickly and was delivered at 3pm.

Did anyone extend their trade in with Envirofone in the last week? I got an option to extend by 7 days on the 29th. Original deadline was tomorrow I think but when I clicked the link in the email to accept the deadline extension it said it had been extended to the 27th which was obv 2 days before the email was sent. I presume it is a system and Tried messaging them but no response.

In the past I have got lucky quite quickly and then cancelled my later online order. If you’re up early and able to get to an Apple store then you may get lucky quickly.

Stupid question - does the iPhone X use the same SIM card format as the iPhone 6? Just thinking - can I just stick my SIM in the new phone and away I go...?
 
I feel like it should work, but just to check - can I restore the X from an iCloud backup of the phone on 11.1b4?

Has anyone done their upgrade in store before (I’ve always done over phone/internet)? If so how do I know if they will have my iPhone X available for collection tomorrow??

No this is reserve and collection. You pay instore for it.

For iUP you go through the iUP option in the app and then reserve although you can pay outright when going into store.

They are technically the same but different!!!

You will need to upgrade the X to 11.1. The iCloud backup won’t restore to an iOS lower

You should upgrade to final release of 11.1 really. This has been out since Tuesday.
