I'm signing up to the iPhone Upgrade Programme tomorrow. Instructions say you need to provide your address for the last three years. Those of you that have signed up previously, did you need to bring proof of address to the store or just give them the address? Thanks!
Surely it’s just the address details and maybe proof of your current as I imagine there’s a credit check involved.

I just got confirmation email from Three. Ordered at 27/10/2017 at 08:40 am.

Your device will be out for delivery on 03/11/2017 through our courier service DPD.

DPD will have to try and deliver the device once within the hour time slot given to you on the day of delivery. You will receive your hour time slot by SMS to the mobile number given on the application. If you do not receive the SMS please call us on 0333 300 0330.

Model?

I don't remember needing any proof of previous addresses and I'd only just moved house when I signed up last year - besides, previous addresses will be on your credit file when Barclays run their checks

I am in the same boat as you.. Did you give your new and old addresses when they ran the check?

Wait, is it possible to sign up for the iUP even if you ordered at full price?

Also, my Apple order is headed to the Oldbury depot though I can't find any option in the app to upgrade the delivery.

All these delivery dates coming forward, and the Apple Store decreasing it's lead time, yet the 13-20 November orders don't seem to be moving
My guess is that one of three things will happen:
  • The initial batches of extra phones will go to IUP customers to avoid the massive moan-fest that happened last year when lots of people on the IUP didn’t get phones for a good while after launch, so the 13th-20th orders won’t move
  • The production ramp is happening, but won’t be in time to move the 13th-20th orders forward so they won’t move
  • The 13th-20th orders will start to move up over the weekend
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see which!

First action from Three! I’m now sitting here refreshing my emails.

I ordered the same model at 08:12 so I’m going to be mightily pissed off if it doesn’t come through tomorrow now! Did your original confirmation say Nov 3rd delivery?

I hate Three right now. Just tell me it’s coming tomorrow!!! Or even that it’s not, the suspense is an absolute killer.

Notifications just are not coming til tomorrow, or whatever other day the delivery is set for. Such rubbish. Seeing Vodafone sending messages out is even more of a joke as a Three customer.

If it makes you feel any better, I pre-ordered an iPhone 5 with Three a few years back and received absolutely no communication from them and it still turned up on release day. My confirmation email and dispatch notice actually arrived in my inbox an hour after the phone had been delivered!

Yep, my phone was collected from Syncreon in Hinckley (birmingham, midlands), and taken to Ryton (about as far north as you can get).

Tomorrow, they will being it back down south, past birmingham, and to me in Portsmouth.

Total distance, assuming straight line driving 547 miles.

Actual distance between Hinckley and Portsmouth that could have been made 152 miles!

I think UK mail need some clues about directions, and optimising their efficiencies !!!

It’s not the Ryton you found. There’s one close to Coventry airport too. They just need to be slightly more accurate in the tracker with the name.

UK Mail Ryton
Hillman Way, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Coventry CV8 3ED

That’s strange. I just got off the phone with three and they told me they would not be delivering any phones until the 10th.

What model did you order? Did your original confirmation say Nov 3rd delivery?

I ordered 64gb black and yes first original confirmation email was for Friday 3rd November estimate delivery date.

You can write to them directly and ask about delivery date with your order reference number from your original email to 3online.support@three.co.uk
They reply to me in 5 minutes time.

The cynic in me says Apple deliberately overestimates shipping dates to make it seem like the phone is so highly in demand and build anticipation. I know the end goal is to sell as many phones as quickly as possible, but if they know they're not going to meet the demand for at least 3 weeks, why not tell people 5, make everyone say, "Oh my god, look how popular this phone is!" and then change it a few days later.

Genuinely think its more a case of people ordering and for whatever reason it doesn't go through or people cancel, so orders move up.

When I first signed up last year all I needed was my bank card with my name on and one photo ID(Drivers license) 5246C29F-B469-44CF-90D5-AC9D3FC8F014.png

Same here, I checked again and realised my default address phone number on Apple.com was not updated. Now I'm freaking out because I don't know if I'll be able to see my time slot correctly tomorrow morning.
Apple used my secondary landline number so the package info won’t be texted to me but I chatted to Apple and they have requested a change of contact number hopefully they will change it for me

I ordered mine at 8:07am from Apple and got Dec 2nd delivery as the app/site was glitching (had Apple Store app open on iPad and iPhone, Safari open on macbook)

Friend casually ordered it from Three on Sunday afternoon and got delivery scheduled for tomorrow.

Go figure

Three’s estimated deliveries still aren’t terrible signing up now to be honest.

I'll try to do the same, even though it's probably too late to change the contact number.

Did you get the DPD email?

EDIT: Noooo the chat closed 1 minute ago

I’m slightly envious (haha!) of the communication people here are having with DPD. Has anyone tried contacting UK Mail to gain any advantage?
