Chatting with an online Apple representative, I appreciate these don't really have access to any extra info than we can see. They claimed that the 13-20 Nov delivery dates won't be brought forward, even though the store lead times have moved etc.

Any time between 0600-2200 o_O
Since everybody is ignoring my posts regarding this I thought I would reach out to you instead. My DPD app isn't showing an option to collect the parcel from a pick up shop..am I missing something? thanks

A big thing I’ve noticed that the reviews are not mentioning, and if anything saying the opposite.

You can still flick apps away after a short press in app switcher, anyone else realise that?

Short video to follow...

Yeah, seen a few reviews saying that was not possible on the X, then saw another video review from an Australian guy and when he did I went “wait whaaaat?” I assume Apple Just put in an extra step because of the swipe to home.

My iUP upgrade that was showing as "arrives by 2 December" has updated to "arrives by 18 November" at some point today - at least it's now a date in November!

Will still see if I can reserve one sooner than that when the page comes back on Saturday morning, but a two week wait is a lot better than four.

Probably in the same batch as us 13-20 lot

Just spoke on the DPD chat about the upgrade option. They said the sender has disallowed upgrading my delivery. Also for those with a 0600-2200 time slot, you’ll get a better one in the morning

So if my backup is 11.1 and new phone is 11.03, what is the way around this when setting up? Will my X prompt me to update iOS as part of the process or will I have to set up as new then update the software then restore? Sorry if this has been asked.

13-20th now I understand why sailors turned to drink xD

Set up phone as new phone OR plug in and update before activating it - worked for me year on year!

It’s definitely iPhone day and DPD have a sh!*load of phones to deliver.

I’m usually 12-1pm on a usual DPD day so I’m expecting early evening. Won’t say no to 6am though!

They can’t have one driver doing that shift surely?

Mine is delivered by UK Mail, has anyone got any experience with them? Will they give a time window for delivery?

For those after a good SIM only deal, EE have some updated deals on again.

Tempted to go for 22GB for £22 or wait til Black Friday.....

I might go Vodafone. £19 for 16GB plus Spotify subscription so effectively £9pm for me

Actually since iOS 10 if you restore from iCloud backup and the new phone is on a lower iOS it updates the device first and then continues the restore - all as part of the Setup Assistant process

I’m coming from Vodafone, and was happy with them.

But might upgrade to an LTE Watch, so decided I’d only commit for 12 months to a provider that supports it.

I get 20% off either via work, and as I’m an Apple Music subscriber the Spotify or now tv wasn’t really worth anything. BT sport is a bonus.

I'm signing up to the iPhone Upgrade Programme tomorrow. Instructions say you need to provide your address for the last three years. Those of you that have signed up previously, did you need to bring proof of address to the store or just give them the address? Thanks!

I’m sure I just took ID with my last year.

I just got confirmation email from Three. Ordered at 27/10/2017 at 08:40 am.

Your device will be out for delivery on 03/11/2017 through our courier service DPD.

DPD will have to try and deliver the device once within the hour time slot given to you on the day of delivery. You will receive your hour time slot by SMS to the mobile number given on the application. If you do not receive the SMS please call us on 0333 300 0330.

All these delivery dates coming forward, and the Apple Store decreasing it's lead time, yet the 13-20 November orders don't seem to be moving
The cynic in me says Apple deliberately overestimates shipping dates to make it seem like the phone is so highly in demand and build anticipation. I know the end goal is to sell as many phones as quickly as possible, but if they know they're not going to meet the demand for at least 3 weeks, why not tell people 5, make everyone say, "Oh my god, look how popular this phone is!" and then change it a few days later.

currently at RYTON, GB. Should see them be transferred overnight and out for delivery first thing hopefully.

Yep, my phone was collected from Syncreon in Hinckley (birmingham, midlands), and taken to Ryton (about as far north as you can get).

Tomorrow, they will being it back down south, past birmingham, and to me in Portsmouth.

Total distance, assuming straight line driving 547 miles.

Actual distance between Hinckley and Portsmouth that could have been made 152 miles!

I think UK mail need some clues about directions, and optimising their efficiencies !!!

This is crazy I ordered 750am a 64gb space grey for home delivery and heard nothing. My email confirmation says 30th October for delivery.
If it makes you feel any better, I pre-ordered an iPhone 5 with Three a few years back and received absolutely no communication from them and it still turned up on release day. My confirmation email and dispatch notice actually arrived in my inbox an hour after the phone had been delivered!

I don't remember needing any proof of previous addresses and I'd only just moved house when I signed up last year - besides, previous addresses will be on your credit file when Barclays run their checks

Hi, no I had that option as soon as my delivery was showing in the app. Have you tried looking on the DPD website instead, by clicking the link from Apple.com or your email?
