I'm still sceptical about John Lewis delivering mine tomorrow... Thank god I didn't press the buy button on the Argos site this morning.

JL are probably the only non apple retailer i've seen positive things about in the previous years.. everyone else just disappoints.

Meanwhile mine's intentionally left my delivery til last 'cause he knows how excited I'll be.

I was in two minds on whether going through with Argos and decided against it. the JL site came back online soon after so managed to bag it there.

Glad I didn't order with Argos in the end. Back to the 6am lottery of reserve and pickup from tomorrow

and someone cancelled an Apple order as they thought they getting the Argos one tomorrow

So relieved not to have cancelled my Apple order, it's annoying but I would be furious if I had. Just goes to show you can't trust everything you read on the internet...

Have cancelled my Apple 2-3 week order as I got one ordered from Argos this morning. John Lewis website was clearly struggling and wouldn’t let me complete checkout, it kept timing out. So I just downloaded the Argos app and it worked very smoothly indeed.

Thanks for the reminder on here about those pre-orders going live.

**** guys, I really feel for you I’ve cancelled the originals Apple order. ****** Argos.

You can’t see battery percentage in the main screen anymore. However if you slide down control centre it’s there, mildly annoying.

Lol, email from Argos. You know that bit when they said they had phones in stock? Well they didn’t. But they are on their way and should be here between the 8th and the 24th.

has anyone got Face ID working when phone is flat on desk, or is that too much to ask of it? it's my one annoyance, everything else is brilliant, dont even notice the notch and gestures are intuitive to learn them in minutes

those who have it and have come from a plus, how do you feel with the size change?

It feels small! Even though the screen is taller, it's also thinner. I would have preferred a larger screen. Lovely phone though, feels like a high end device and happy it's not another 6/7 clone!

Mine coming between 15.11. and 16.11. Am delivery 56 and Barry currently on number 8. So busy can't keep up with thread or indeed stalking Barry as he drives around Edinburgh! That said just had quick look and he is near my house which is 2 miles away but am at work and being delivered to my work. Also I am interviewing from 2.30 - 5pm so can't even hang out my office window.

Barry usually delivers to me but today it’s Gerry.

Annoyingly he’s coming 5.30-6.30 which is the same time as my pick up slot for iUP (home delivery one is for my dad). So got a bit of a dilemma just now.

Might go to the store and see if they’ll process early though have seen comments that they won’t.

I can’t get it to work at all.

Another annoyance for me: the data in the ears at the top feels too cramped
