It would be interesting to know how many of the Apple pre orders have been cancelled now people received them from other retailers and whether it causes other pre-order dates to be pushed up.

On another note loving my X so far but did have a problem with the volume control last night where when I held the volume down button it went all the way up but I restarted and it seems to be fine so guessing it’s a software glitch rather than hardware fault. Has anyone else experienced this?
 
For those that upgraded on the iUP yesterday, did you erase your phone and remove the SIM before going to the store or was that done when you were there?
 
Won’t bother doing that again seems like I want the most popular one, 256gb silver, I might as well wait my 20 days maybe will be pushed forward lol

Most popular one seems to be 256gb Space Grey for me as that one always seemed to sell out first. Happened at Apple site, John Lewis, Argos, and at this morning's reservations

Tried twice for Leeds, showed stock and boom back to homepage, then tried Manchester and same again.

Lucky you, I tried Leeds and no stock. Could only see Manchester ones and they soon disappeared on "reservation details" page.
 
Yeah I saw that but multiple advisors are saying it will come and some say it wont

Argos really need to get their act together - I managed to order one yesterday after I was let down by John Lewis. Got an email in the afternoon telling me it wouldn't now be delivered on 6th and it'd be 8th to 24th, but their system still shows 6th. Rang their call centre and advisor could only tell me that it looked like it was still coming on 6th to him. Might be ringing them again this morning and demanding a chat with a manager!

I had a similar experience. I mentioned the delay email and the guy just said “oh, that’s not. Dry good is it.” They’re certainly not rushing to give me my money back though.

Also ask for instant money back and not have them sit on your money so it collects interest for 7 working days.

On another note, JL have said they’re expecting stock again on 10 Nov, and Argos 8 Nov. Assuming this goes to Syncreon to then be sent to JL, the stock should surely arrive early this week at Syncreon, and be sorted. Therefore I would hope Apple orders for 13-20 Nov are delivered this week. Just my thoughts, but doesn’t seem too far removed

Done instore. They need to check the serial/IMEI before handing over so best left in normal state till you’re there.

Just rang them, anyone who had a delivery date of Monday was apparently a system error; defo delivery between 8th and 24th - I've cancelled my order with them accordingly. I'll try John Lewis again in the week in the hope of bagging some Avios through the BA eStore and a 2 year guarantee, otherwise, I have the backup of an Apple delivery between 28th Nov and 4th Dec.

In the meantime, I'd ring them and ask as (according to their agent yesterday) any delivery should generate a tracking number the night before.
 
I'm also in the 13-20 club, ordered SG. ordered another silver one from Argos yesterday, but unfortunately received the same email about the delay. I called them up yesterday and they apologised and said if we wait until the 8-24 then after receiving the iPhone, I should call them and they will give me a compensation for the delay. although they didn't tell me any monetary amount.
 
If anyone who reserved through iUP buys it outright today please post here!

(And if anyone goes to Lakeside as well)

Same if you had deliver today from Argos. I cancelled as they were misleading.

That is after they’ve sat in your money to collect interest.
 
Another Argos fail here, cancelled it yesterday. Pathetic.

Woke up for the in store reservation at 0559, that was a complete waste of time.

Shan’t bother any more messing now, wait till my Nov 13-20 order starts rolling.
 
What are the chances of picking a 256BG SG this morning just by walking in when the store opens, lets say at Brent Cross?

I'm thinking the same, but no 256gb appeared anywhere this morning. Most likely non will be available, but you never know
 
If anyone who managed to get an order on JL yesterday afternoon that delivers today let me know :D gives me hope for Monday!

Also coincidentally I noticed Argos have refunded my paypal funds this morning.
 
Anyone using the TSB app - the trick previously mentioned here about other banking apps where you delete then reinstall has worked for me after a quick ‘this app is not optimised for FaceID’ notice :D
