Quoting from their live chat as I remember it “we process refunds quickly, but we say 5-7 working days due to banks different systems.” Seems like more passing the buck really

They're just covering themselves really - the 5-7 days thing is standard within the industry due to the numerous different factors involved in how long it actually takes. Not least because the companies use a third party to process credit card transactions - they'll have put the wheels in motion as soon as you cancel your order. Its not a simple case of them doing a faster payment back to your bank unfortunately and there's the weekend, non-working days to factor in too.

No movement on my order yet - 13-20 :(

I feel like I am spending way too much time looking at John Lewis's site and my apple order and wishfully thinking something will change :D

It's funny... in my head I am thinking, this will be my 7th iPhone. I've bought 4 iPads, an apple pencil, a £2k MBP (about to be replaced by a customised £3.25k macbook pro), a £3.3k iMac, 2 apple watches and more accessories and apps than I'd care to admit.

The least Apple can do is let me buy a £1150 phone when I want too lol :D

I'm shocked there's been no movement on the 13th-17th Nov orders :-(
I'd expect movement soon - the 20-27/21-28 crowd in Canada (which are the first range that didn't ship on 11/3) have been flipping to PFS this weekend, so there's more phones coming soon!

A lot of us got reservations in store and cancelled our pre-orders, so there will be considerably less people waiting.

Kind of topic but I didn't want to start another thread just for this and as this is the main UK thread I figured someone here could answer my question.

Is there anyone who uses the HSBC app know if Face ID works with it. I know it works with Touch ID to log on with previous iPhones that support it as it did with my 7 Plus but now I have an iPhone X I was hoping it would recognise the Face ID. Is HSBC not allowing Face ID to log on to their app ?
Risky business as you’ll get the UK macRumours police saying you cannot post in here. Be careful

Glad I'm not the only one, thought there was something wrong with my order so got in touch with Apple via live chat and they said that it should update by the middle of this week.
ah the conflicting views of apple support! I spoke to them on Sunday to confirm I could change my paid for order to IUP (which you can) and when I asked on the status of the 13-20 lot, she said none of them there have any information on delivery dates apart for what is shown on the order :)

Had this too, probably speculation about what it would need to arrive on the 13th :(

I did manage to get from JL CS that they are expecting over 700 units on the 10th - wonser if that’s when our phines will arrive in the UK!

Can anyone confirm if I manage to make my reservation for IUP this afternoon, that I can request when I get there to pay in full? Don’t want to drive an hour and a half to be told “no”.

Thanks

In relation to this I want to know if they'd make you pay for the AppleCare that comes bundled with the price of an IUP. That's the only reason I can think of why they won't release these phones for general reservation is that IUP comes with an extra £199 attached and business is business

Also, how are you planning on making a reservation? I would give this a punt myself but not being an existing IUP customer I can't get on to the reservations page after 6am. Are you already an IUP customer or have you got a mate who is?

There was stock available at the Arndale Centre just now, I could have bagged one but I can't get there and back before I need to be in work. I'm now confident that I'll get one this week though. Patience. :)

How did you find that? are you just constantly refreshing the page? iUP or non-iUP?
