Yesterday they appeared to be going by time but not so today.
I was 8.14. Phone being delivered tomorrow. Went into PFD yesterday.
I’m on the upgrade program. Delivered to store in Glasgow. Originally said by 2nd December now saying by 18th of November. I’m getting fed up waiting though.
Clearly not time based, as Mr 8.09 iS still ‘preparing for dispatch’.

Getting a bit sick of days going by with no news. Feel like the process has been handled poorly this year in comparison to previous years.
Yep, agreed. Really annoyed that IUP that reserved on 27/10 are like second class citizens. Why do people at 0600 every morning get to bypass the queue? And why aren’t our orders being fulfilled alongside the delivery orders?!
The whole IUP thing is bizarre. I get that if someone fails a credit check then the only option is to buy it outright, but to go in for one and just say outright you have no intention of buying on IUP? Just seems strange that Apple would allow it in the first place.
You honestly think they could get away with saying “we’re only selling you this if you take finance”?
iPhone Upgrade Programme users are truly second class citizens this year it seems.
If I’d known this on Day 1 I would have bought outright rather than staying in the programme. The only reason I stuck with the programme is because it was so good for me last year, getting me a device weeks before other people in the EE queue (that and because 0% APR, why wouldn’t you?)

Nope, still the same for me. Can’t believe it’s taking so long, no sign of a charge to my credit card either. Sigh.
That’s not really what I’m saying, but I get your point. I’m not on the IUP, just sitting on the sidelines and can see why those who are on the programme, or who are interested in joining are peeved with the way (limited) stock seems to be going.
Basically they are trying to do just that. Availability for store collection on a day to day basis is completely different for iUP, many more phones are being made available. The only reason it isn’t happening is because people are electing to buy outright when they get to the store. My question is “Why is membership of iUP restricted to those opting for finance?”. If in future priority is given to iUP throughout launch of a new phone, there should be a way of allowing membership for those who purchase outright each year instead of encouraging people to go into debt which is what finance is.
So around 4:30-5:00 today my phone went to prepared for dispatch but still on that status so hopefully they'll be dispatched tomorrow! Only problem being is that I am doing a 14 hour day on Friday and no-one is at home to sign for it! Depending on who the courier is, I may have to plan something! Guys with DPD delivery, was there an option to send your delivery to a pick up shop?
Yeah you can send to pick up shop. That’s what I’ve done for my delivery today.
Might very well be joining in the awaiting delivery process myself soon; seriously considering trading in my iPhone 8 Plus and switching to iPhone X!
UK is showing the same on istocknow but there is still nothing to order from the Apple store
