The S8 is a lovely phone but the software lets it down. So I’ll never leave Apple while that’s the case.
It’s just annoying that some IUPs have times much earlier than the orders that have dispatched, and have seen no movement. Combine that with others being able to reserve at 0600 (and effectively jump the queue), and it’s not a fair system.
I suspect yours will dispatch today, as they seem to be working through them pretty quickly. Fingers crossed!
Exactly... Apple sees iUP customers are fishes in their net. So they don't really care about us but only trying to increase the hypes of scarcity value of iPhone X. Apple's marketing department has some f***ed up brains.

It think it’s disgusting that IUP customers have dates in December but places like Argos get stock to sell to randoms.

What does iUP have to do with “places like Argos”. Argos and other retailers are all part of the supply chain just like the Apple Retail Stores. Stock comes in and will be distributed to its customers - the retail stores (be that Apple, Argos, John Lewis, CpW) - then it’s down to them how the stock is handled.
You can see the distinct difference between Apple Retail and Apple Online when you return an online order to a store. You get the credit billing document from the online store a couple of days later. When you return something purchased in store you get a standard store receipt because they are different channels and different stock.

Guys, those of you already in the iUp why dont you cancel especially if you have a December date. My date was Dec 2nd on pre order day, I have since cancelled and managed to grab a Silver 256 yesterday. You will get access to much more stock than those not already on the plan which is available to view 24 hours of the day!!! Use the app on your hone, its much quicker too and easier to reserve, no 2 step reservation process too!!!
Average Joe Consumer has other options though. Hence the 8 was released. I think that is possibly why that came out as well. I loved the 8+ just seems to big compared to the X now.

They've been getting plenty of stock since Friday, picked one up yesterday from Arndale. Whatever happened to waiting until Q1 of 2018 lol.
I got mine delivered launch day but it would appear with persistence you can get one every day. Whether it be through Apple or 3rd Party. The best 3rd Party looks to be Unshackled.
Have you got yours via online or Apple store?
BTW, the reason I enrolled on iUP is that I don't like to spend my energy to sell my old iPhone every year.
Yes, Apple Store app on my phone...simple process once you find the phone you want in the location you want! I have been looking since monday...so in 3 days turned a December 2nd pick up to a November 8th pickup.
You’re assuming I live in Leeds ... Leeds is just my closest store. It’s takes me about 1:30hrs to get to Manchester, probably longer this time of year

Fair enough. Depends how badly you want the device. If my only choice was getting it in Leeds I’d travel.
I live about 5 mins from the top of M606. The M62 isn’t that bad later on at night to be honest

Dunno what’s going on with the IUP orders. I would be hacked off too with the wait. Hopefully you’ll all see movement soon. Was thinking of joining IUP as if there is a plus model of the X next year I know I’ll want it.

I have one from 8.10 that PFD’d yesterday at 10am and still hasn’t changed and another from 8.11 that PFD’d at 5pm and not changed either
So existing iUP customers - you got in to a ‘queue’ of sorts by pre-ordering your upgrade? Can I ask how that works? I realise that it’s a crappy situation because many of you have December dates, but until now I had assumed that you all had to do what we’re doing, i.e. wait around until some stock happens to come available and then pounce on it. But you can actually slot in a pre-order?
