Not too worried about landscape mode as I don’t use that much on my plus but I wonder if it will need to be used more with the long and skinny screen when reading documents etc
I tend to use portrait mode 99% of the time but wonder if landscape mode will be required more when reading small text for example.
Should find out soon enough
Just completed iCloud backup of 120+GB in 8 hours overnight and my X is ready to go.
It’s a really nice upgrade (from a badly ageing 6) but I’m not as wowed by the screen as I was the first time I....*gulp*...saw/held the edge infinity display on the s8.
And yes I feel dirty for thinking it never mind actually posting that. Thankfully iOS keeps me loyal.

So here is my tale of trying to get my hands on a X. We have business account that we buy product through admittedly not a lot but over £10K a year as part of this we have a dedicated business contact as well as our own online portal. Business customers apparently order later than consumers due to separate stock. The business team took my payment details well before the business release date a day after the business release date I receive an email saying its confirmed for delivery the second to third week of Dec. So obviously I chase on several occasions and am told this will improve, well it hasn't even though I could go online and get a better delivery date. Feel really let down by Apple.
Argos! Well I was one of the 3rd 5am orders who cancelled got my 10% discount to see phones delivered yesterday, so seeing Argos were promising delivery on the 24th or before I placed an order with the discount at 6 this morning after seeing no more stock in the apple inventory. Just checked my order and its now removed my 10% discount and given me a delivery date of 1st Jan. I am awaiting a reply from Argos.
JL tomorrow lets see what happens.

Another day at work refreshing tabs, its been a productive week so far.
If you made a graph of my productivity over the years there would be a dip around September, October and now November.
iUP customers have their own pickup dates (e.g. for me by 2nd Dec and now moved to 18th Nov). We are pissed off because we just have to wait until the given date while painfully read the stories how other regular customers who reserved later than us to get one from the online/retail queue. Yes, we could cancel our reservation and join the queue, but we enrolled iUP to avoid such queue in the first place.
iUP is an excellent tactic but poorly implemented at least in the UK! 😵
Same here 256GB SG 8:15 and 64GB S 8:17.
As far as I know they got to 8:13 yesterday, with odd 8:14.
We should expect some movement around 11AM, fingers crossed! 😀

Thats what I felt yesterday. So in frustration I ended up going onto the Apple Chat page which you can get on the webpage next to your order. I asked if they checked my credit card, as i never use it. They confirmed that its all be pre-cleared and that I can expect to get it from 13-20...so really no change from where i started...patience in a virtue. However, about 10 minutes after that 'chat' my order went from Processing to PFD and my credit card available balance went down. Funny that! It could be coincidence, but I think not. Just be overly polite to the chat guys. Let us know how you get on

8:13 order confirmation time, still at OIP stage. some of my friends who have 8:14 and 8:15 have been dispatched...
I think it was yesterday morning, I’m sure yours will despatch very soon.
