Hi guys, just a question about iUP.
I joined the program for the first time this year, and the 11th payment is scheduled on the 4th of October 2018. Assuming that the next iPhone will be released in September, does anybody know if the last payment can be done in advance and from when this would be possible?
It's a bit crap having to pay 1 installment in advance, but I'd rather do that than wait longer to get the new iPhone lol:) :)

So I popped into an Argos store yesterday (8th Nov). Went in to check stock availability. The terminal in the store said in stock for home delivery tomorrow (i.e. today). Went to the counter, nice lady confirmed in-stock for delivery today....so I placed the order.

I got an email receipt saying delivery today. I got a text message from Argos last night at 8pm saying delivery today between 7:30am and 9pm by Yodel. The website however still says 'processing'

I did a live chat this morning on Argos.co.uk, nice chap said he can't see my order has shipped and it could be a wait up until 24th November.

Text message from Argos says today
Web chat guy says anytime between 9th Nov & 24th Nov and he can't see that my order has shipped.

...oh and they've charged my credit card the full amount.

This is my first experience buying from Argos. Which should I trust?

So that was my first and last time ordering an iPhone from Argos. Yesterday, all their systems (website, in store terminals, Sales hotline etc) say in stock for delivery today. I had a Paper receipt, email receipt and text message all saying instock, delivery today. Their systems say order dispatched this morning and I even have a tracking number. My card has been charged £1150.

After a 2 hour chat with Customer Services this morning, finally got to the bottom of it all. They don’ t have any iPhone X’s. They’ve never had any iPhone X’s other than the pre-orders fulfilled 3rd Nov. None are due this week. They’ve been taking orders and charging cards knowing they can’t fulfil. Cheek. They can’t even cancel my order as its in a pre-order status. They need to escalate to their finance department to refund my money who will action in the next 7 days. Pffft.

First and last time I use Argos for anything like this. However they have given me a £25 gift card as a sorry which is nice I s’pose.

I'm going to wait until you can just walk into an Apple Store and just buy one - far less hassle.

Dilemma time for me:

My silver 256 just went pfd (08:16 order). Should I change the delivery address to my work (where I’ll be tomorrow) or leave it as my home address (where I’ll be on Monday)? Is it likely they’ll deliver tomorrow?
 
I'm new here, but been keeping up to date with the posts.

my 8:14 confirmation of 2 x 256 GB, 1 Silver and 1 SG finally shifted to PFD at 11ish this morning like a lot of other users.
From everyone's experience so far:
1. What are the chances that this will dispatch tonight for delivery tomorrow - has anyone had a morning switch to PFD with a next day delivery?
2. Assuming that it actually dispatches tomorrow (worst case) - do Apple send these out for Saturday delivery with DPD and UK Mail, or is it realistically going to be Monday?

from most of the previous posts i've seen, if you get a PfD today, you will get the delivery tomorrow as they will be shipped to the couriers this afternoon / evening.

Well that's what i'm hoping for as mine went PfD this morning as well.

My iPhone X has moved to “preparing for dispatch” and they have taken the money out of my account.

Mine went PFD Tuesday at 18.50. Dispatched Wednesday 11.50. Arrived Thursday (today) 10am

Thanks to istocknow alerts I managed to pick up an iPhone X 64GB S in Edinburgh on iUP :) ! Better than waiting until the 18th like my older reservation.
 
Sadly, DPD tracking doesn't seem to be working for me.
Usually get a map and my position in the delivery queue, but this time the link just shows the expected hour of delivery.

Anyone else have this for London ?
 
Also for previous IUP members who have paid an extra month like myself; they let me 'trade' the phone in and gave me the cash. I then had to phone up barclays and pay it off - pocketing ~£40.

how long (on average) does it take to go from preparing to dispatch (and taking out the money) to it being dispatched? I'm guessing tomorrow, if that's the case i don't think i will get it Monday (my estimated was 13th-20th) as it will be Friday tomorrow.

Well!!! I couldn't believe that I got a text at 10.50am this morning to say that my phone was waiting to be collected at my local Apple Store! Collected it at 12.30 and was back home beofre 1pm. Just completing the restore now from my previous backup and it's really lovely! Loving my ultra violet case too (and I got them to do the screen protector there too). Hope everyone else is as lucky as I was today.

How does it take for DPD to take control of the delivery?
12:14 I got the shipment is underway email but nothing on DPD app or apple link as yet to confirm DPD have it & more importantly when they are going to deliver tomorrow! inpatient!! :)
 
I have an 8:20 confirmation. 64GB Silver. Still says Order In Progress.
Originally had 27th-4th Delivery, which changed to 24th-1st.

Looks like 8:15 phones are preparing for delivery. Hopefully less than 1 week wait for me!
