Who did you order with? and what was your original delivery date/delivery date now?

Directly through Apple. Original date was 27th-4th Dec, which got pushed forward on 3rd Nov to 24th-1st.

It seems like the last wave of phones came into the uk early last week, stock has been quiet since Sunday.
8.15-16 was approximately the last confirmation order of phones that were delivered last week. My logic says new phones should be coming to the uk soon, and clear the 24th-27th order very soon, which would allow the current 1st-7th order to come with 2 weeks of now.

Quite a few people with just over a 8.20 confirmation got their phones last week. Thats why I was curious on your delivery date. Seems to be a bit behind

I am starting to think that 24/11 - 01/12 may actually be realistic delivery dates the way the stock situation appears to be going. No early delivery for us in this batch.

Remember you’re still in the original 13-20 window for the ones that have been delivered already. Things could move by early next week and if the next batch are again shipping from the uk they could start going PFD and dispatching on the same day for next day delivery.

That would be my guess for the next wave tbh. Maybe dispatches starting on Monday the 20th

We’re going to see this pattern. There will be a number of days between the large shipments coming in from Apple. The drips and drabs are likely failed IUPs, collections etc.

It’s unlikely Apple will be sending in daily small shipments, they’ll most likely ship once they’ve built up enough stock to make a single large shipment making more logistical sense.

When that does happen we’ll see all the next batch of orders flip and stock filtering back into the online store and resellers.l like we had about a week ago.

Can anyone on iUP reserve one for me in Stratford? My boss would like to join iUP but I cannot reserve because I've done it a few times for forum people.
when you order through your iUP for someone else do you put your email or the email of the person whom will be collecting the phone??

Hello all. Just started using the istockcheck site and wanted a bit of guidance.

When I get a notification that stock becomes available where am I actually looking on the Apple website or Apple store app to move forward on this?

I ask ask Regent Street just got 256gb in space grey and silver and when I went to the iUP section it said no reservations can be done until 6am tomorrow, and when I just went to buy on the main store it showed unavailable for all stores in London.

Am I doing something wrong?

The best thing you can do is just order one from Apple for delivery. The waiting times are down to 2-3 weeks, and there will be much less stress and wasted time on your part.

There is a lot of truth in this advice, and it is exactly what I did yesterday morning, but it is still difficult to resist trying to get one earlier however frustrating it is.

I had that problem for a bit - I found that logging out and back in again (in the app) seemed to fix it.

Thanks. That seems to have worked.

How often does your page ping the apple servers? I had twitter notifications come through from the @rh_monitorUK twitter account for stock of a 256 space grey in one of the London stores this morning, but nothing on Pushbullet mobile app or google extension. I'm putting it down to it appearing and then being purchased in the period between your site refreshing.

The JL stock update.

We have positive feedback for some on JL stores, but be careful still not 100% reliable.

Reminder: stock level of 1 is very unlikely to be available.

256gb are gone already.

I ordered the iPhone X online through the Apple Store last night, after a couple of beers lol, and this morning I read up extensively about it and realised - apart from how it looks - it will effectively be a downgrade on my Pixel 2. Poorer camera in many areas, no notification LED (which I use a lot), and hugely expensive should it need a repair. I compared my Pixel 2 against the iPhone X in the Apple Store yesterday and it was apparent the Pixel 2 screen is just as good. Apple always seems to use an antialiasing algorithm which renders fonts less crisp - it's apparent on my 4K iMac too, Windows 10 looks a lot crisper on the same hardware. That crispness matters to me.

You'd better cancel the order then and allow someone who genuinely wants one to move up the queue.

...unless you really want it. You know, deep down.

There’s nothing to choose between the two camera wise so that’s a false statement for a start.

I had the first Pixel, and I've been using Android since I switched over after the first iPhone 3G. It was a nice phone, but I had it for 10 months before I decided I'd had enough of android. Performance degradation over time (3 factory resets on the Pixel since December 16), poor battery life and the lens flare from the camera made be decide to sell it for £500 just before the Pixel 2 came out.

I imagine the Pixel 2 will also be a great phone, but the launch hasn't gone smoothly. I wouldn't go back to a Google phone until they sort out their QC issues. 'Pure' Android and first dibs on OS updates guaranteed for 2 years is all well and good, but if I want to throw it out of the window after 10 months it's time to make the switch back to iOS as I know it works.
