How did your complaint reach Apple? Have Argos said anything about delivery to you?

Did you complain to Argos too?

I emailed Apple and I started a formal complaint to Argos using the resolver service. Also had good old moan on Twitter when I discovered they were running the same scam this morning.

Just for people still looking to trade in / recycle their phone I used O2 Recycle this year and happy to report that no issues.

Sent my phone of yesterday, it was signed for at 7.45am this morning and the money was in my bank before 5pm this evening. Happy days! Got £451 for my 256gb 7 Plus using a 10% extra code posted earlier in this thread. £304 to settle last years finance and £146 towards my X so all good.

As an aside I was interested to note that when I was inputting the address on Royal Mail to pay for the special delivery postage that many other 'recycle' companies came up at the same address including Envirofone who I normally use. There were in fact about 6 other trade in 'companies' at that address so they must been contracted out by O2 etc.

Anyone hope everyone getting the slightly delayed X's now!! Am really pleased with mine and definitely worth the wait.
I only discovered that Carphone Warehouse offers a recycle programme for cash from an earlier post in this thread. Once my X arrives, I’ll drop into my local CP and do the deal.

Yes just seen that, nice one. Hopefully they will get thier act together.

There seems to be a number of people waiting for Argos orders so hopefully soon they will send them out once they receive the stock.

Just do some research and look how the two compare in low light. I have viewed lots of iPhone X images and they tend toward muddiness in dark areas and the colour is exaggerated. Also there is a tendency to a yellow cast in some situations. I've found the white-balance of the Pixel 2 to be pretty much spot on. My Samsung Galaxy s8 had a similar warm cast in situations lit by artificial light. I've no axe to grind with Apple and I'm not a Pixel fanboy - I simply want the best phone for me. I agree the iPhone X camera is one of the best, no doubt about it, I just feel the Pixel 2 is slightly better. I'm not suggesting it's night and day but if I was going to spend another £400 on an iPhone X over the Pixel 2 I'd like to feel I was getting that much extra in my day to day usage.

Got any links to these reviews? Only ones I've seen suggest the Pixel and X are pretty even when it comes to still photos, but the Pixel is a bit ahead in video.

I've pasted a couple below but can go through my browser history to find more if you're genuinely interested. My feelings have been cemented by viewing actual iPhone X photos.

Ah, r/Android, that well-known source of unbiased iOS and Android comparisons. Plus India Today, that well-known top tech journal. That’s it then, Apple is doomed.

Why would you 'rather go by this review'? We all know the iPhone X has excellent photographic capabilities and I'm really not knocking it, but that review doesn't compare it to the Pixel 2. What do you think of the Pixel 2 photos you've seen?

One thing the iPhone X tends to do in lower light is select a slower shutter speed than the Pixel. No camera shake problem with OIS, but if you're photographing moving subjects like children you will find you are more likely to experience blur than with the Pixel which routinely selects a faster shutter speed.

I feel uncomfortable posting this in an iPhone forum - I am straying too far from my original post where I simply said I decided to cancel my order and why. I have no desire to rain on your parade and I really share your enthusiasm for your chosen phone. To enjoy ones tech is great, whatever one chooses to buy. We can surely agree that both the iPhone X and the Pixel 2 are excellent phones.

I’d rather go off that review for the reasons posted by another poster just above.

JL seems have got space grey 64GB stock a few times today but literally as soon as I was at checkout stage a message would pop up saying no longer in stock.

Still have my Apple order as back up which states 29 - 6 delivery window now.

Good luck everyone at 6am. Let’s hope there’s more stock than this morning!

Seems like there’s stock around London (silver 256) for existing IUP members tonight. Might be a good sign for the morning?!

Looks like lots of stock today.
If when reserving it comes back and says not available try a different time slot.

I reserved a phone on Saturday but had to cancel, the same thing on Monday, and now when I try and reserve it says limit per customer reached? I signed in with a different Apple ID and when I went to reserve it said the same thing.

I'm using the app. Any one know how to overcome this?
I have the same issue, hoping my limit will be reset in December.

SG 256GB available in brum, also for silver and both colours of the 64GB version

<5 mins later> stock still available in brum for all versions but the time slots seem to get fewer

<6:28> silver 256GB gone but all others still available. There are now just 3 time slots available. Walk-in could possibly have stock available
